Seit weit über 30 Jahren -  was für eine ungeheure Zeitspanne - betreibt Mastermind Ronan Harris sein erfolgreiches Electro-Project VNV NATION und lässt es zu immer höheren Flügen ansetzen. Seit einem Jahr wurde nun ein neues Album angekündigt und der Albumtitel bereits bekanntgegeben. Als Appetizer gab es bereits die Songs "Before The Rain" und "Wait", was die Vorfreude noch weiter schürte.
Zur Zeit ist man bereits sehr erfolgreich auf Tour und die Besucher konnten dort schon vorab einige neue Stücke erstmals live erleben. Ja was haben die Fans sehnsüchtig auf das Album gewartet Auf der Zielgerade wurde "Electric Sun" noch einmal um zwei Wochen verschoben. After a long time there is new music from the Netherlands in the form of the video single "Don't Pray".

The lyrics of this track are a powerful commentary on the hypocrisy and emptiness of religious institutions and the people who lead them. The band's use of strong imagery and striking metaphors paints a vivid picture of their message, making it impossible to ignore.

Um die Wartezeit zur Albumveröffentlichung von „Memento Mori“ am 24.03.2023 zu verkürzen, veröffentlichten Depeche Mode heute den zweiten Track „My Cosmos Is Mine“. Die Veröffentlichung kam diesmal ohne Promo im Vorfeld und überrascht somit die Fans. Der Song wurde beim Geheimkonzert in München bereits einmal live gespielt. Originally as a solo project by Luke J.B. Rafka brought to life in 2010 for the public, it has now grown into a grandiose 2-man project. While Luke puts world events into words without inhibition V-nerV has been providing the electronic background since 2016. electronic background in the form of his compositions.

The first single "Spiegel der Gesellschaft" will be released on February 24th with the original song, a club edit and remixes by Relate, Superikone, ANTIAGE, Das(X)Periment and U.M. Fiedel and the first partby the song "Ein Gespräch zwischen Sonne & Erde". Parallel to the single, a video will be released which was created by Maik E. Baptist.

What is the difference between a charming smile and a broad grin? The finesse, the latent subtleness, the secrecy and the not quite obvious. In this sense, the title “SMILE” of the new THE WIDE album is a time travel into the subconscious, musically floating between dream pop and indie rock, soundwise perfectly balanced, almost like its very own genre in a musical cosmos divided into categories.

Originating from Mönchengladbach / Germany, the band goes beyond musical boundaries with their second album (following the debut album “Paramount”, 2018). Following the release of the first single “Heile Segen” (True Blessing) for the tour with MAERZFELD in May of this year, HEMESATH release their new album “So Schön” (So Beautiful) on October 7th.

Musically the new songs tie in with the previous album “Für Euch” (For You), but also go a considerable step further in every aspect. By now, the band has long shed the limitations of the so-called “Neue Deutsche Härte” (New German Hardness) and demonstrates that hard German rock music can do more than just beat and thrash.

“APRÈS LA NUIT” is a brand new electro-romantic project initiated by Richard Abdeni (composer, producer, author and vocalist) and Marilyne B (vocalist).

Richard’s previous work and experience includes 5 albums and several EPs with the US band “Les Anges de la Nuit” (music, lyrics, production and vocals), several Top 5 hits in the German alternative charts (last song was number one for 4 weeks last year in the German DAC charts).

Marilyne has also released an album of French songs as an author, vocalist and producer.

Together, in English and in French, they will transport you to horizons imbued with rhythmic melancholy with an inalienable instinct of hope that erases the footsteps of their pain on the sand.

This collaboration was born following a personal tragedy - the death of Richard's younger brother - which ineluctably brought him closer to Marilyne, his beloved brother’s closest friend.

Sharing a common passion for music, they tried together to exorcise their deep pain through APRÈS LA NUIT where a first studio album entitled "Are You Ready For Love" is going to be released in the coming weeks under the German Label Echozone.

The first single “Mon Amour” immortalizes in music this absent brother or friend just as much as this love for which each one of us becomes king or beggar at certain times of their life.

On February, 26th Soulimage are gonna publish their new single „Imperium“ via Echozone to set the stage and fire up the mood for their upcoming album.

Mastermind Rob E. Soul’s quintet stays true to its previous musical development. In comparsion to the last album „Human Kind – Animal Mind“ the new song has an additional proper pinch of heavy metal influences thrown into the mix, nonetheless Soulimage never neglect the electronic, grooving foundation that has always formed their style.

The result is a kick-ass mixture of steamrolling guitars and melodic synthies with Rob’s voice being the familiar bond that keeps it all together. It will immediatly find its way into the listeners‘ ears and necks. the Spanish electro-project Cyborgdrive contributes, as so often, a successful remix version of the single song. The single’s flip side consists of a re-recording of „Generator“, building a bridge to the band’s eralier musical creations and bringing them up to speed.

The original track from the album „The Whole Universe“ is dominated by synthies, the re-recording is much more rocking while maintaining the groove that makes the song so great. While being a bit slower than „Imperium“, the song is still a beast of its own that has nothing to hide. It perfectly demonstrates the band’s ability to combine elements from different styles and make it their own. „Raining Blood“, the third song, is the finishing touch.

As a ballad comprised of nothing but piano and vocals it is musically as far from the other two songs as can be but thanks to Rob’s prominent voice it still is infused with the distinctive Soulimage vibe and a testament to the band’s range.

NEROGRIS' Debütalbum "I Am the Shadow - I Am the Light" feiert die Gegensätze: Unerbittlich pumpen treibende Beats, während dunkle musikalische Texturen den leeren Raum füllen. Eingängige Melodie weben die starken Klangfäden, welche diesen elektronischen Kosmos zusammenhalten. Das außergewöhnliche Newcomer-Duo gedeiht vor allem durch Gegensätze und Kontraste. Die klanglichen Wechsel von laut zu leise, hell zu dunkel und melodiöse Töne zu dissonantem Lärm laden ein zu Vergleichen mit klassischer Elektronik unter anderem wie X MARKS THE PEDWALK, PARACONT und NUMB. Sogar einen augenzwinkernden Hauch von JAN HAMMER findet sich. All diese Elemente sowie auch zeitgenössische Zutaten ergeben zusammen ein höchst dynamisches Album. "I Am the Shadow - I Am the Light" verbindet auf elegante Weise analoge Wärme und ausgereiften Sound mit dunkler digitaler Präzision. NEROGRIS entstanden aus einem Instrumentalprojekt des Keyboarders und Elektromusikers Kain, der gerade Old-School-Fans bereits durch seine Arbeit mit der Dark Wave, EBM, Industrial und Splatter-House Band LES BERRTAS bekannt ist. Als Tinoc vom heißen sächsischen EBM-Insider-Tipp AMNISTIA um einen kleinen Gesangsbeitrag für das Projekt gebeten wurde, lieferte der Sänger spontan und in Rekordzeit Stimmeinsätze und Texte für alle Tracks ab. Dies überzeugte Kai auf der Stelle so sehr, dass er sein Projekt kurzerhand in ein Duo umwandelte und ein komplettes Album produzierte. So waren NEROGRIS geboren und bereit, den Planeten Electro zu erobern. Mit "I Am the Shadow - I Am the Light" liefern NEROGRIS ein beeindruckendes Debütalbum ab, das Freunden dunkler elektronischer Klänge jeder Generation neues Futter liefert. Alle Regler auf 10!

Occult-tinged stoner doom from Sweden, Moon Coven just keep going from strength to strength. Their last album for Ripple, Slumber Wood was described by The Sleeping Shaman as "totally blown away by the avalanche of awesome stoner-doom riffage contained therein. It’s unusual to come across an album in such a crowded genre that sounds completely fresh and delivers such quality tunes from start to finish." KIND, the stoner/psych/doom supergroup from Boston featuring Matt Couto (ex-Elder), Tom Corino (ex-Rozamov), Craig Riggs (Roadsaw) and Darryl Shepard (ex-Black Pyramid), return with their second full-length. Staying true to their sound but expanding their sonic palette, KIND has crafted seven new songs that cover the aural spectrum, from the indie-rock influenced “Helms” to the full-on doom of “Trigger Happy” to the rock bombast of “Broken Tweaker," all capturing the effortless interplay between the instruments and the powerful vocals. Heavy Petal Music by Rainbows Are Free is a live retrospective of the heavy psychedelic band’s fifteen-year discography, featuring a comprehensive sampling from their three previous studio albums, as well as a few rarities performed from their eponymous self-released demo EP. The album was recorded live at the Summer Breeze music festival in RAF’s home town of Norman, OK on August 8th, 2021 – their first live performance after the pandemic. The band’s pent up energy bursts forth from the stage and through the speakers like a six-headed hydra that just broke free from its bonds after being confined to darkness for nearly two years! If for whatever reason listening to Rainbows Are Free's past studio output didn't convince you of their sublime command of pure, unfiltered heaviness, this live recording goddamn better.
