Die neue Platte der Darkrocker heißt „Midnite Masters“und erscheint am 25. Juli 2025 via Metalapolis Records (SPV).

Auf „Midnite Masters“ ist der neue Gitarrist Mike Nero zu hören, das Album entstand im Herbst 2024 im Soundlodge Studio bei Jörg Uken. Das Artwork kommt von Simon Berndt / 1Horsetown.

Die serbische Thrash Metal-Band INFEST veröffemtlicht ihr neues Album „Ambassadors of Aggression“, der Nachfolger des 2021er Albums „Psychosis“ erscheint am 26. September 2025.

Mit einem Video zu „Songs of Violence“  haben INFEST nun den ersten Song daraus veröffentlicht.

Aufgenommen wurde „Ambassadors of Aggression“ in den Vortex Studios in Belgrade. Das Schlagzeug wurde in den Citadela Studios eingespielt, der Mix kommt von Rodoljub RaiÄ�kovic, Mastering von Dan Swanö. Füer das Artwork wurde  Roberto Toderico beauftragt.

Rund fünf Jahre nach „Of Truth & Sacrifice“ (2020) kehren HEAVEN SHALL BURN mit neuer Musik zurück. „Heimat“ ist der Titel der neuen Platte, welche die Thüringer Band nun mit dem Video „War Is The Father Of All“ vorstellt. 

Zuvor gab es zudem das Cover „Numbered Days“. Bei dem Track ist auch Original-Sänger Jesse Leach von KILLSWITCH ENGAGE als Gast zu hören. 

Im Mai stellten HSB die Single „Empowerment“ vor. 

Ein weiterer Vorgeschmack ist in Form der Auskopplung „Confounder“ sowie der Single „My Revocation Of Compliance“ verfügbar.

„Heimat“ umfasst 13 Tracks und erschien am 27. Juni 2025 via Century Media auf CD, Vinyl sowie digital. Erscheinen wird das Album darüber hinaus in einer limitierten Auflage mit Bonus-Disc und BluRay. Auf letzterer befindet sich ein Mitschnitt der Headline-Show vom SUMMER BREEZE 2024, während die „Keinen Schritt zurück“-EP die beiden Kollaborationen „Keinen Schritt zurück“ sowie „Schweineherbst“ umfasst. Komplettiert wird die Dreingabe durch zwei zusätzliche Cover-Versionen.

Das Artwork gestaltete erneut Eliran Kantor.

Eine Gastsängerin mussten HEAVEN SHALL BURN für die anstehenden Festivals engagieren, nachdem Sänger Marcus Bischoff den Auftritt beim Rock Am Ring wegen Stimmproblemen abbrechen musste. Bei den anstehenden Dates springt Britta Goertz (HIRAES) ein.

RAGE haben eine neue Platte angekündigt:  ‚A New World Rising‘ erscheint am 26. September 2025. Mit einem Video zu „Freedom“ hat das Trio nun die erste Single daraus veröffentlicht:

 

Zur aktuellen RAGE-Besetzng gehören Peavy Wagner (Gesang, Bass), Jean Bormann (Gitarre) und Vassilios „Lucky“ Maniatopoulos (Schlagzeug).

„Nicht nur für uns, sondern für alle Menschen gilt: Wir müssen rauskommen aus dem destruktiven Mindset, das derzeit überall zu finden ist. Viele denken, die Welt geht unter, alles wird schlechtgeredet, und manches davon ist sogar gezielt gesteuert, denn mit Angst kann man Menschen besser kontrollieren. Deswegen lautet unsere Botschaft: Denkt für euch selbst! Und glaubt nicht alles, was man euch erzählen will!“ erklärt Bandgründer Peavy Wagner den Grundtenor von ‚A New World Rising‘. „Die Stücke auf ‚A New World Rising‘ sind direkt und griffig, gleichzeitig aber auch verspielt und facettenreich, ohne sich dabei selbst zu verlieren. Ich finde, man hört, wie inspiriert wir während des Songwritings waren, wie sehr wir uns im typischen Rage-Kosmos wohlfühlen und uns weiterentwickelt haben. Die Stoner Metal-Band SOLACE hat eine Neuauflage ihres Debütalbums „Further“ angekündigt. Anlässlich des 25-jährigen Jubiläums der Platte erscheint das Werk am 22. August 2025 in einer erweiterten Fassung via Magnetic Eye Records.

Einen Höreindruck verschafft vorab der Single-Edit des Openers „Man Dog„.

Neben dem regulären Album in neu gemasterter Fassung enthält „Further“ auch einige Bonustrack. Erst im Januar 2025 verstarb „Further“-Sänger Jason, wodurch die Wiederveröffentlichung zugleich als – eigentlich ungeplante – Ehrerweisung an den ehemaligen Frontmann gesehen werden kann.

Miz „Drone“ haben KARNIVOOL ihren ersten neuen Song seit vier Jahren veröffentlicht. Selbsz beschreiben die autralischen Prog Rocker den neuen Track so:

„Drone“ zeigt, wie Karnivoolin eine neue Ära eintreten – eine langsam gekochter Sound, geschmiedet in der Hitze des Studios, wo jede Note getestet und temperiert wurde. Dieser Track brummt mit der Wucht der riesigen westaustralischen Wüsten und wird von kolossalen Rock-Riffs getragen, die nur aus unserer Heimat stammen können. Neben Bandgründer Frédéric Leclercq (ex-DRAGONFORCE, KREATOR) kehren auf diesem dritten Studioalbum auch die Mitglieder Attila Csihar (Mayhem), Sean Zatorsky (Dååth), Stéphane Buriez (Loudblast) und Heimoth (Seth) zurück. An den Drums tritt Andre Joyzi in die Fußstapfen des verstorbenen Joey Jordison. Joyzi, ehemals Jordisons Drum-Techniker und langjähriges Mitglied der Live-Crew, wurde nicht nur wegen seines handwerklichen Könnens ausgewählt, sondern auch aufgrund der emotionalen Verbindung, die er zu Jordisons Vermächtnis mitbringt.

Mit „Bark To Hell“   haben GRAVE DIGGER einen neuen Song geteilt.

 

Im April stellten GRAVE DIGGER den Trach „Hellfire Crusade“ vor. Entstanden sind beide Stücke während der Aufnahmen zum aktuellen Album „Bone Collector“ (2025), fanden aber nicht den Weg auf die Platte.

Im Laufe des Jahres feiert die Heavy-Metal-Band ihr 45-jähriges Bestehen darüber hinaus mit einigen Shows und Festivalauftritten.

Die Progressive Retro Rock-Band THE VINTAGE CARAVAN hat mit „Portals“ ein neues Album angekündigt. Es ist das sechste Album der Isländer und wurde gemeinsam mit „Axel ‘Flexi’ Árnason“ bei Arda Recorders in Porto aufgenommen.

„Der Titel des Albums ist eine Anspielung auf die Stadt Porto, und zwischen den Songs gibt es eine Reihe von Zwischenspielen, die wir „Portals“ nennen, die die Stimmung bestimmen und zum nächsten Track führen“, erklärt die Band.

„Portals“ wird am 26. September 2025 via Napalm Records erscheinen. Vorab gibt es mit „Riot“ einen Video-Clip.

Es ist das fünfte Album des niederländischen Solo-Künstlers Faber Horbach (MYRKVAR, CESAIR) und stellt ein Konzeptalbum dar, das eine Reise durch die Dunkelheit des Unterbewusstseins, die Zyklen des Verfalls und die spirituellen Lehren des Mondes unternimmt.

„NIHT“ wurde von Fieke van den Hurk und Marie de Koning gemixt und von Erwin Maas gemastert. Release-Termin ist der 29. August 2025 via Season of Mist. Vorab gibt es zu „Āsteorfan“ einen Video-Clip. In an era overshadowed by hollow leaders and ethical decay, Seattle’s Only Monsters issue a potent rallying cry against our collective disillusionment with their arresting new compilation album, Past, Present, and Obsolescence. The title itself echoes a chilling mantra, a sharp indictment of contemporary politics and humanity’s primal descent into self-serving chaos.

The compilation is a collection of their ambitious triptych of EPs—ONE (August 2024), TWO (January 2025), and THREE (June 2025)—a shadowed odyssey into mystery, mythology, and gloom. Each installment plunges deeper into the dark recesses of the imagination, weaving together arcane narratives and brooding atmospherics to form the cohesive whole of Past, Present, and Obsolescence. This trilogy emerges from a lineage of prior works—most notably the self-titled Only Monsters EP (July 2023)—but here they scale their oeuvre from spellbinding post-punk to gothic grandeur and beyond.

Channeling the brooding atmospheres of Chameleons, the apocalyptic intensity of Killing Joke, and the poetic eloquence of Anne Clark, Only Monsters wield their music like a scalpel, dissecting our societal maladies with merciless precision. Each track on this collection reverberates with urgency and uneasy clarity, bridging post-punk ferocity with gothic sensibilities. The result is a body of work released in the past year that confronts listeners head-on, unsettling yet irresistible, as it explores existential dread, historical decay, and the delicate balance between self-acceptance and self-destruction.

From the outset, Eye For An Eye thrusts listeners into dystopian gloom, pairing Chameleons-esque textures with Pixies-tinged howls, portraying humanity trapped in cycles of deception and merciless violence: inevitable, inescapable. The reflective pace of Lessons In Obsolescence drifts through spectral, Cure-inflected guitar lines and ghostly vocal arcs, its melodies imbued with dreamlike despair. Here, history’s crumbling monuments become potent metaphors for the fleeting, ephemeral nature of all human grandeur. Nothing endures; everything fades into quiet decay, unnoticed and unmourned.

Gods of Dreamland plunges into eerie depths with its sinister bass pulses and spectral echoes, vocals resounding like distant spirits whispering down castle corridors. The track evokes an unknowable universe suspended between sleep and wakefulness, where ancient mysteries and forbidden truths linger on the threshold of consciousness, tempting yet perilous. In the solemn elegance of Silhouettes, the band navigates a delicate neo-folk reverie, vocals sweeping gorgeously over stark, slow rhythms reminiscent of Dead Can Dance. Here shadows and faded memories haunt the present, carrying the weight of inherited regret and concealed histories…unnerving reminders of the past’s enduring sway.

The Endless unfolds as a sparse meditation, minimalist beats and droning synth textures subtly recalling Joy Division’s bleakest moments. The song examines human existence as cosmic poetry, a ceaseless cycle of birth and death devoid of mythological comforts, underscoring a yearning to understand oneself through tangible truth rather than faith. The Nightmare Or The Dream cloaks gothic drama with shimmering Omnichord accents, conjuring Pulp’s theatrical elegance filtered through the atmospheric melancholy of The Chameleons. This track is an existential fever-dream, blurring reality with the surreal as it questions perception, identity, and the fragile divide between terror and enchantment.

Next, the sluggish, hypnotic A Lullaby shifts to introspective spoken word, drifting through shimmering shoegaze textures. With candid introspection and a wry look at life, it offers solace in the embrace of flawed authenticity, underscoring a feeling of vulnerable, yet irreverent liberation.

Petrichor emerges as a spectral synth dirge, underpinned by brittle machine pulses and the spectral allure of Chameleons-inflected guitars. The vocals resonate as if from a forgotten aristocrat hidden deep within an attic’s gloom, haunted by faded grandeur. Taking its name from the scent of rain after prolonged drought—a poetic collision of earth (“petra”) and the gods’ own lifeblood (“ichor”)—the track evokes cleansing renewal amidst inevitable decay. The heavens bleed, washing away humanity’s sins, leaving only the earth to bear witness and endure.

Soothsayer drifts into shadowy lounge territory, a darkly decadent cabaret inflected with new wave melancholia and soulful echoes of a solitary crooner performing in a cocktail lounge at the precipice between worlds. It’s an elegy for human desperation, recalling ancient rituals where charlatans whispered false comforts into the ears of the lost. When the pillars crumble and certainties dissolve into dust, it asks with chilling clarity: to whom shall we turn for salvation when only lies remain?

Los Angeles dark-electronic duo HALLOWS (Vanee Dusoruth and Dom Rolando) have long danced gracefully upon the razor’s edge of disquiet and desire. With their latest single Regret, the pair dives headfirst into a cauldron of acid-drenched electronics and unapologetic rebellion. Fueled by fierce French lyrics and pulsating classic 909 rhythms, the track channels a nocturnal intensity that’s equal parts dance-floor joy and emotional release.

Thematically, Regret unravels the psychological knots of identity, rejection, and resistance, vividly capturing the tumultuous process of reclaiming agency from suffocating expectations. HALLOWS draws inspiration from their eclectic palette, blending synth nostalgia reminiscent of the 1980s with contemporary electronic precision, punk attitude, and disco’s irresistible pulse. The result is irresistibly infectious and emotionally charged, designed for nights where liberation is found in rhythm.

The track was produced by renowned Los Angeles-based producer Matia Simovich. “This was the last track we wrote for the album, and when we first brought it into the studio, it was in English,” says Rolando. “Matia knew French was our native tongue, so he pushed us to try delivering the vocals in French instead. Lo and behold, it transformed the track. When I recorded the vocals, I channeled classic angry French film characters – Vincent Cassel in La Haine came to mind – and it just felt right.”

Directed by Alissa Wyle, the accompanying music video sets HALLOWS at the chaotic heart of a neon-drenched boxing ring —an arena of confrontation perfectly suited to the song’s themes. Wyle expertly blends gritty realism with surreal comedy, echoing the anarchic spirit of Fight Club through saturated visuals, frenetic energy, and playful fourth-wall ruptures. Dusoruth and Rolando battle not only each other but their inner conflicts, manifesting a raw urgency that crackles across the screen.

Formed in 2019, HALLOWS quickly made waves within underground electronic circles, releasing the Subtle EP on Phage Tapes and their acclaimed debut album All That Is True via Cold Transmission. „I skogsfruns famn“ ist unsere zweite Single aus dem neuen Album „Edsvuren (sworn)“ und dieses Video ist wahrscheinlich das coolste und raueste Månegarm-Video bis heute (gedreht von der großartigen Svartna Film)“, kommentiert die Band.

„Der Song ist ein wirklich grooviger und epischer Track und der Text basiert auf einer lokalen Geschichte, die sich nur ein paar Meilen von unserem Wohnort entfernt zugetragen haben soll. Die Musik wurde zusammen mit Tobias Rydsheim von Wormwood geschrieben und Eriks Tochter Lea Grawsiö Lindström ist erneut als Sängerin zu hören. Um die Wartezeit auf brandneues Studiomaterial zu versüßen, werden ASP noch in diesem Jahr ein neues Live-Album veröffentlichen. Die „Dunkelromantischen Mainächte“ waren laut Besucher-Aussagen einfach nur magisch und zählen ganz sicher zu den absoluten Konzert-Highlights in der bisherigen Band-Geschichte. Vorerst ist laut Aussage der Band keine weitere Ensemble-Tour in diesem Stil geplant. In weiser Voraussicht hat Asp die Setlist mit vielen Hits gespickt und zudem einige Überraschungen darauf platziert, nicht zuletzt die Premiere des neuen Songs „Höllenfahrt“, welcher vom Publikum gleichzeitig andächtig genossen wie frenetisch gefeiert wurde. Los Angeles dark-electronic duo HALLOWS (Vanee Dusoruth and Dom Rolando) have long danced gracefully upon the razor’s edge of disquiet and desire. With their latest single Regret, the pair dives headfirst into a cauldron of acid-drenched electronics and unapologetic rebellion. Fueled by fierce French lyrics and pulsating classic 909 rhythms, the track channels a nocturnal intensity that’s equal parts dance-floor joy and emotional release.

Thematically, Regret unravels the psychological knots of identity, rejection, and resistance, vividly capturing the tumultuous process of reclaiming agency from suffocating expectations. HALLOWS draws inspiration from their eclectic palette, blending synth nostalgia reminiscent of the 1980s with contemporary electronic precision, punk attitude, and disco’s irresistible pulse. The result is irresistibly infectious and emotionally charged, designed for nights where liberation is found in rhythm.

The track was produced by renowned Los Angeles-based producer Matia Simovich. “This was the last track we wrote for the album, and when we first brought it into the studio, it was in English,” says Rolando. “Matia knew French was our native tongue, so he pushed us to try delivering the vocals in French instead. Lo and behold, it transformed the track. When I recorded the vocals, I channeled classic angry French film characters – Vincent Cassel in La Haine came to mind – and it just felt right.”

Directed by Alissa Wyle, the accompanying music video sets HALLOWS at the chaotic heart of a neon-drenched boxing ring —an arena of confrontation perfectly suited to the song’s themes. Wyle expertly blends gritty realism with surreal comedy, echoing the anarchic spirit of Fight Club through saturated visuals, frenetic energy, and playful fourth-wall ruptures. Dusoruth and Rolando battle not only each other but their inner conflicts, manifesting a raw urgency that crackles across the screen.

Formed in 2019, HALLOWS quickly made waves within underground electronic circles, releasing the Subtle EP on Phage Tapes and their acclaimed debut album All That Is True via Cold Transmission. Their recent sophomore effort, A Quieter Life, issued on their own Stoic Media label, further solidified their position as torchbearers of LA’s thriving dark electronic scene. With appearances at prominent festivals like Substance Fest and Verboden Fest, HALLOWS continues to thrive, turning regret into potent, transformative art.
