Mit „Retribution“ wird am 22. August 2025 via Metalizer Records das neue Album der Power Metal-Band BURNING SUN erscheinen. Es ist nach „Wake of Ashes“ (2023) das zweite Album des internationalen Duos bestehend aus dem Ungarn Zoltán Papi und dem Chilenen Pancho Ireland.

Mit „Fight In The Night“ haben BURNING SUN Nun einen weiteren Track daraus geteilt.

Das Album erzählt die Geschichte von Emaly, einer jungen Paladin, die als einzige Überlebende eines Zusammenstoßes zwischen ihrer Gruppe und dem Totenkult eines Nekromanten übrig bleibt. Nachdem ihr Mentor und seine Gefährten gefallen sind, schwört sie, deren Tod zu rächen, und macht sich dann auf den Weg, den Nekromanten zu finden und seinen Kult ein für alle Mal zu zerstören.

„Retribution“ wurde von Pancho Ireland gemixt und gemastert und mit einem Cover-Artwork von Yannick Bouchard ausgestattet. Vorab gibt es mit „Shadows Undone“ ein Lyric-Video.

Die Atmospheric Post-Black Metal-Band CORRIDORÉ hat mit „Like Moths“ einen Video-Clip ihres kommenden Albums „Abandon“ veröffentlicht.

„Ich habe den Text zu diesem Song geschrieben, weil ich darüber nachgedacht habe, wie wir uns wie Motten vom ‚Licht‘ angezogen fühlen, egal wie sehr wir dagegen ankämpfen. Ich steckte in einer Sackgasse und dachte über die Vergangenheit nach. Aber schließlich kam ich zu der Erkenntnis, dass ich vieles davon hinter mir lassen musste. Es geht um die harte Dichotomie, mit „offenem Herzen“ voranschreiten zu müssen – aber auch darum, anzuerkennen, dass wir aufgegeben haben und es tatsächlich „das letzte Mal“ ist“, sagt Bassist und Sänger Eric Andraska.

Es ist nach „Corridoré“ (2019) das zweite Album der US-Amerikaner aus Wisconsin und sei eine Meditation darüber, was es bedeutet, nicht nur die Verzweiflung loszulassen, sondern auch die Strukturen, Systeme und persönlichen Erzählungen, die sie aufrechterhalten. Das Album beschäftigt sich mit Themen wie Isolation, Trauer und der zerbrechlichen Widerstandsfähigkeit des menschlichen Geistes.

„Die Songs auf „Abandon“ wurden vor und nach der Pandemie geschrieben, in einer Zeit der Selbstreflexion und des Wandels“, erklärt Bassist und Sänger Eric Andraska. „Wie der Rest der Welt nahm auch CORRIDORÉ eine kleine Auszeit, kehrte aber mit einem neuen Fokus zurück, der zu diesem Album führte. In der Vergangenheit habe ich meine Songs in der Regel aus der dritten Person geschrieben, aber mit diesem Album, obwohl die Texte und Themen immer noch abstrakt sein wollen, ist es das persönlichste, das ich mit Texten gemacht habe. Ich wollte, dass die Platte diese Gefühle von Isolation, Einsamkeit und Trauer ‚abandonment‘ vermittelt; aber auch aus der Perspektive von Dingen ‚to abandon‘ zu betrachten, um aus dem auszubrechen, was uns quält.“

„Abandon“ wurde von Dustin Sisson (u.a. für VANISHING KIDS tätig) in den Blast House Studios gemixt und von Carl Saff (u.a. für ELDER tätig) gemastert. Das Cover-Artwork stammt von Sick of Realism (u.a. für NIGHT CROWNED tätig). Release-Termin ist der 22. August 2025 via Hypaethral Records. Vorab gibt es auch den Track „(Become) Carrion“ zu hören.

„Das war der erste Song, den wir für dieses Album geschrieben haben“, sagt Andraska. „Der Song handelt von dem unausweichlichen Marsch auf den Tod, während wir versuchen, einen Lichtschimmer in der Dunkelheit einer Gesellschaft zu finden, die immer weniger Sinn macht und mit jedem neuen Tag unversöhnlicher und entfremdender wird. Letztendlich ist es schwer, nicht das Gefühl zu haben, dass alles ‚entglitten ist, aus dem Blickfeld‘ und zu der erschütternden Erkenntnis zu gelangen, dass wir vielleicht schon die ganze Zeit tot waren.“

Die Stoner Rock-Band DUSTED ANGEL hat mit „Little Lizzy“ einen Video-Clip ihres kommenden Albums „This Side Of The Dirt“ veröffentlicht.

„Der Song ist irgendwie von der schweren Last der Unterdrückung inspiriert, die uns alle manchmal erstickt. Manchmal tun mir Kinder so leid, die in dieser Zeit der sozialen Medien und der lächerlichen „Cancel Culture“-Spielchen aufwachsen. Die Selbstmordrate unter Teenagern steigt, weil sich die Menschen unter dem Druck von KI und Technologie, die das Menschliche in den Hintergrund gedrängt haben, verpflichtet fühlen, sich anzupassen“, sagt Sänger Clifford Dinsmore.

Es ist nach „Earth-Sick Mind“ (2010) das zweite Album der Band, welche in den 15 Jahren dazwischen einiges durchzumachen hatte, als dass etwa Sänger Clifford Dinsmore in dieser Periode zwei Krebserkrankungen, eine Knochenmarktransplantation und die COVID-19-Pandemie überlebte.

„This Side Of The Dirt“ wird am 19. September 2025 via Heavy Psych Sounds erscheinen. Vorab gibt es auch den Track „Death Crushes Hope“ zu hören.

„“Death Crushed Hope“ sollte immer ein aufmunterndes Lied sein“, sagt Clifford Dinsmore. „Es war inspiriert von meiner Frustration über das Älterwerden und den Schmerz, den wir alle empfinden, wenn wir Freunde und geliebte Menschen auf diesem Weg verlieren. Später, während meines persönlichen Kampfes gegen den Krebs, eröffnete es mir eine ganz neue Perspektive. Trotz der Härte der irdischen Umstände gibt es immer noch die elementaren Kräfte der Natur. Es gibt immer noch die Möglichkeit der Flucht und der Meditation in der Einsamkeit und Ruhe der wilden und majestätischen Wunderlandschaften dieses Planeten.“

When Warm Gadget rolled out of sleepy Bend, Oregon back in 2009, Tim Vester and Colten Williams seemed less like rockers and more like grease-stained mechanics building songs from busted engine parts. Picture sparks flying in a garage, where ideas collide in rhythmic clanks, guitars humming like diesel engines, and synths buzzing nervously beneath the surface. Albums like Brides, Hollowmas III, and Rituals set their stage, but their latest record, Sorrows (2024, Re:Mission Entertainment), fully pushes the accelerator to the floor.

At the heart of Sorrows roars the maxi-single Debutante, a blistering number beefed up by none other than Helmet’s own guitar heavyweight, Page Hamilton. Hamilton (born in Portland, schooled in jazz at Manhattan’s musical institutions, sharpened by Glenn Branca’s avant-garde guitar orchestras and Band of Susans) is best known as the architect behind Helmet’s tight, angular riffage. Here, though, Hamilton steps into looser, heavier boots, channeling thick thrash reminiscent of Metallica’s golden years, the edge of NIN, and sludgy weight straight from Melvins’ murky playbook. His riffs land like controlled explosions, giving Warm Gadget’s machine-driven sound a muscular new depth.

The surreal video for Debutante feels like flipping channels through late-night TV static: strange Regency-era dancers glide by, cryptic symbols flash, and nature scenes blur into dreamy visions. It’s weird, oddly playful, and hypnotically off-kilter.

With Hamilton’s fingerprints all over the machinery, Warm Gadget confidently revs their engines louder than ever. It’s industrial rock souped-up, metallic-edged, and unapologetically massive…the kind of music built to shake both the speakers and your downstairs neighbors, delivering riffs so heavy they’ll smile even while dialing in noise complaints.

But Warm Gadget didn’t just stop there. Debutante’s maxi single release comes stacked with remixes from their Re:Mission label-mates Divider, Ex-Hyena, Frontal Boundary, and Fact Pattern, who each carve, stretch, and reshape the original into entirely new beasts. Think of it like your favorite leather jacket transformed four ways: studded, shredded, stitched up again, and somehow even cooler than before.

Chicago’s Fantasma Negra storms into view with their latest EP L.U.S.T., an emotional joyride of love, lust, and life lessons learned the hard way.

Right from the opening notes of Feathers, we’re strapped into a whirlwind synth odyssey. This track captures the dizzy confusion of recalling someone who perfectly ignited both emotional and physical sparks. But is it memory or wishful thinking? Like all great questions, it’s left tantalizingly unanswered, carried along by punchy drums and those nervously excitable synths.

Bite Marks throws another curveball, embracing bilingual flair and exploring fate and risk. It’s like spinning life’s roulette wheel, betting your whole identity on a shaky connection. Soaring guitar riffs and commanding vocals channel classic bands like The Chameleons and contemporaries Rosegarden Funeral Party, making existential dread feel oddly exhilarating. With Bliss, the band takes us into experimental territory, opening with a teasing synth intro that hints at future sonic adventures. Co-writers Henry and Alicia delve deep into goth-romantic terrain, swirling emotions and guarded vulnerability into one heady mixture. It’s a late-night confessional wrapped in a glittering, shadow-streaked groove…exactly what you’d want at the party where black lipstick meets hesitant smiles.

Bailar kicks down the door, fueled by the fiery spirit of early Misfits and the frenetic punk chaos reminiscent of Damned and Black Flag. Its Spanish lyrics shout an infectious call to abandon everything and hit the dance floor. With fierce female vocals growling over blistering guitar work, resistance is futile. Heat takes an unexpected twist into bilingual power-ballad territory, highlighting themes of arrogance, self-awareness, and redemption. Imagine Pat Benatar swaggering through a Mexican desert, chased by classic rock guitars, as the track nods respectfully toward José Alfredo Jiménez’s cowboy classic El Jinete.

Closing out with Closer, Fantasma Negra channels synthpop euphoria before hurtling into a thrillingly reckless anthem. It’s that rollercoaster moment of letting go, losing control, and loving every dangerously sweet second of it…higher selves be damned.

Steinbock draws from the gloomy elegance of Joy Division and Asylum Party, merged effortlessly with the melancholic chill of Lebanon Hanover, crafting synth-driven arrangements defined by their existential unease.

L’Autre Destination surges ahead on currents of somber bass synth, driven by drum patterns both relentless and distant, guitar lines glinting like distant signals through fog. The track embodies suspended motion—moments caught between desire and fulfillment, letters of love looping endlessly through abandoned corridors. Die Rapcore- / Hardcore-Band FOX LAKE hat im Frühjahr 2024 einen Labeldeal bei MNRK Heavy unterschrieben. Im Zuge dessen veröffentlichten die US-Amerikaner aus Colorado mit „Savior“ eine Single mitsamt Video-Clip.

„Ob Korruption, Lügen, Machtmissbrauch oder einfach nur Respektlosigkeit – so viele Menschen, unabhängig von ihrer politischen Identität, haben das Vertrauen in unser System verloren. Der Glaube, dass unsere Institutionen auf uns aufpassen, scheint der Vergangenheit anzugehören. „Savior“ ist ein Schlachtruf für alle, die sich entrechtet fühlen. Es ist ein energischer Weckruf, der uns auffordert, uns unserer Verantwortung zu stellen. Wir müssen uns umeinander kümmern, weil es sonst niemand tut“, sagt die Band.

Anschließend legte die Formation mit weiteren neuen Songs nach: Auf „Cold Hard Truth“ folgten die Clips „Pure Adrenaline“ sowie „Freestyle„. Jetzt gibt es auch noch ein Video zu „Real Fast„.

Alle Songs entstammen dem neuen Album „New World Heat“, das am 1. August 2025 via MNRK Heavy auf CD, Vinyl sowie digital erscheinen wird.

Die Post-Metalcore Band HEI’AN präsentieren mit einem Video zu „What A Shame“ einen weiteren Song des kommenden Albums „Kiss Our Ghosts Goodbye“.

Schon im Mai präsentierten die Slowenen die erste Single „Make Me Want To Leave You“ mit einem Video bei YouTube.

Produziert wurde die Platte von Randy Slaugh, den Mix übernahmen Joseph McQueen und Zakk Cervini. Für das Mastering schließlich zeichnet Ted Jensen verantwortlich. Erscheinen wird „Kiss Our Ghosts Goodbye“ am 25. September 2025 via Blood Blast.

Am 3. Oktober 2025 veröffentlichen ORBIT CULTURE ihr neues Album „Death Above Life“ trägt.  „Das Album steht für Veränderung, für einen Neuanfang”, sagt Gitarrist, Sänger und Songwriter Niklas Karlsson. „Es weckt viele gute und schlechte Emotionen, aber es ist eine große Veränderung zum Besseren. Es fühlt sich wie eine Wiedergeburt an.”

Mit dem Musikvideo „Hydra“ hat die Modern Death Metal-Band jetzt einen weiteren Track des Werks ausgekoppelt.

Auch zu den Songs „The Tales Of War“ und „Death Above Life“ gibt es bereits Videoclips.

Am 8. August 2025 veröffentlichen SINSAENUM ihr drittes Album „In Devastation“.Die Wartezeit verkürzt die Band nun mit einem weiteren Video, es gibt nun auch einen Clip zu „Obsolete & Broken“:

Produziert und gemischt wurde „In Devatstation“ von Lasse Lammert.

Neben Bandgründer Frédéric Leclercq (ex-DRAGONFORCE, KREATOR) kehren auf diesem dritten Studioalbum auch die Mitglieder Attila Csihar (Mayhem), Sean Zatorsky (Dååth), Stéphane Buriez (Loudblast) und Heimoth (Seth) zurück. An den Drums tritt Andre Joyzi in die Fußstapfen des verstorbenen Joey Jordison. Joyzi, ehemals Jordisons Drum-Techniker und langjähriges Mitglied der Live-Crew, wurde nicht nur wegen seines handwerklichen Könnens ausgewählt, sondern auch aufgrund der emotionalen Verbindung, die er zu Jordisons Vermächtnis mitbringt.

COLD SLITHER ist der Name einer fiktiven Band aus dem „G.I. Joe“-Universum. Nun meldet sich die Formation mit einem neuen Lyric-Video zurück: „Zartan’s Revenge“ bei YouTube.

Ein Lyric-Video zu „Thunder Machine“ ist ebenfalls online. Auch den Clip zu „Knock ‚Em Dread“ kann man bei YouTube sehen. Bei dem Track handelt es sich um die zweite Auskopplung aus dem neuen Album „Cold Slither Rides Again“, welches das Comeback der Gruppe zementiert.

Erschienen ist die Platte am 25. Juli 2025 via Reigning Phoenix Music auf  Vinyl sowie digital, den Titeltrack „Cold Slither“ konnte man aber vorab bereits anhören.

Die Alternative Rock-Band CASKETS hat eine neue Single geteilt: „The Only Heaven You’ll Know“ bei YouTube. Es handelt sich dabei um den Titeltrack des Studioalbums „The Only Heaven You’ll Know“, das am 7. November 2025 auf CD, Vinyl sowie digital erscheinen wird.

Auch „Make Me A Martyr“ ist als Video bei YouTube zu sehen.

Den Mix der Nummer übernahm Zach Jones, das Mastering Maor Appelbaum. Derzeit steht die Gruppe bei SharpTone Records unter Vertrag. Zuletzt erschien das Album „Reflections“ (2023).

Die Thrash Metal-Band WHITE MANTIS hat mit „Roboticator“ einen weiteren Track  ihres kommenden Albums „Arrows At The Sun“ als Video-Clip veröffentlicht.“Arrows At The Sun“ ist nach „Sacrifice Your Future“ (2019) das zweite Album der Münchner, die dazwischen mit „The Iron Curse“ (2022) eine EP veröffentlicht haben.

Anfang Juliteilte die Band einen Videoclip zu „Nekrotornado„.

Das Album befasse sich mit gesellschaftspolitischen Themen, Technokritik und Fortschrittsskepsis, aber auch mit Spiritualität und dem Tod als Geheimnis des Lebens. Release-Termin ist der 22. August 2025 via High Roller Records.

NOVEMBERS DOOM bringen ihr zwölftes Album raus: „Major Arcana“ erscheint am 19. September 2025. Nun hat die Death Doom Metal-Band ein weiteres Video veröffentlicht, die zweite Single ist „Mercy“:

Die erste Veröffentlichung aus dem neuen NOVEMBERS DOOM-Album ‚Major Arcana‘ war ein Video zum Titeltrack:

 „Der Titeltrack ‚Major Arcana‘ zeigt, wie wir als Band gewachsen sind, wir erforschen neue Ideen und verlassen unsere Komfortzone – sowohl musikalisch als auch thematisch“, erklärt Sänger Paul Kuhr im Namen der Band. „Dennoch bleiben wir uns treu. Am 31. Oktober erscheint “Cycle of the Dying Sun (Dawn of Ashen Realms)”, das neue Album von RUNEMAGICK,

Komponiert und eingespielt hat das Album Nicklas Rudolfsson im Alleingang, die erste Songle „Old Bones“ kündigt er so an:

„Old Bones“ ist der erste Einblick in „Cycle of the Dying Sun (Dawn of Ashen Realms)“, ein Song, der den Weg der Namenlosen beschreitet, wo Echos der Vergangenheit unter Asche nachhallen. Als zweiter Track des Albums dringt er tief in das ein, was vor uns liegt: eine Reise durch erlöschende Glut. Der Zyklus hat begonnen, und die Knochen sprechen noch immer.“

PRIMAL FEAR haben mit Thalìa Bellezecca eine neue Gitarristin, André Hilgers ist neuer Schlagzeuger. Gemeinsam hat man ein neues Album aufgenommen:  „Domination“, das 15.
