Die Blackened Thrash Metal-Band DESASTER hat mit „Kill All Idols“ ein neues Album angekündigt. Es ist das zehnte Album der Deutschen aus Koblenz und folgt auf das 2021er-Album „Churches Without Saints„.

„Alle ‚Vorbilder‘, egal ob sie politisch, religiös, sozial, wirtschaftlich oder anderweitig motiviert sind, haben nur ihre eigene Agenda und ihren eigenen ‚Machterhalt‘ im Sinn“, erklärt Sänger Sataniac. „Der Albumtitel ist nichts anderes als eine Aufforderung, selbst zu denken. Oder es zumindest zu versuchen. Realistisch betrachtet ist das Geld die letzte verbliebene Gottheit und das große „Vorbild“ zumindest für große Teile unserer säkularen Gesellschaften. Diese Tatsache ist tiefgreifend. Geld und lineare Gier sind keine guten, zielführenden oder gar nachhaltigen „Vorbilder“. Aber was kann man schon erwarten? Immerhin wurde das alles in nur sieben Tagen produziert und herausgeschleudert. Vielleicht hätte sich der allmächtige Schöpfer ein wenig mehr Zeit nehmen sollen.“

Vorab gibt es außerdem den Track „Towards Oblivion“ zu hören.

„Es ist ein allgemeines Loblied auf den Homo sapiens, der nichts unversucht lässt, um „vergessen“ zu werden, indem er seine eigenen Grundlagen zerstört“, sagt Sänger Sataniac. Aber wir dürfen nicht vergessen. Wir sind nicht in der Lage, die Erde zu zerstören. Wir können diese schöne bewohnbare Zone nur für uns selbst unbewohnbar machen.“

„Kill All Idols“ wurde im eigenen Proberaum aufgenommen und von Jan „Janosch“ Gensheimer gemixt und von Greg Wilkinson gemastert. Das Cover-Artwork stammt von Chris Moyen.

DYMYTRY PARADOX haben für den 19. September 2025 eine neue Single angekündigt.„Red Sky Remains“ wird via RPM veröffentlicht, den neuen Plattenvertrag kommentiert die Band so:

„Wir sind begeistert, nun Teil der Reaper-Entertainment-Familie zu sein. Ihre Leidenschaft und Hingabe spiegeln genau das wider, was wir als Band fühlen. Dieses Signing markiert ein starkes neues Kapitel für DYMYTRY PARADOX – gemeinsam werden wir unsere Vision auf ein neues Level bringen.“

Wer sich über den erweiterten Bandnamen wundert: Während man unter dem Namen  DYMYTRY weiter den tschechischen Markt bedienen wird, tritt man mit Sänger A.L. als DYMYTRY PARADOX international und in englischer Sprache auf.

Hierzulande plant die Gruppe Konzerte für Januar und Februar 2026. Entgegen der ersten Tour-Ankündigung im Juni spielt die Band am 31. Januar 2026 nicht in Herford im Kulturwerk, sondern in Köln im MTC.

GREEN CARNATION haben nach dem Video-Clip zu „In Your Paradise“ nun auch einen Video-Clip zum Titeltrack ihres kommenden Albums „A Dark Poem, Part I: The Shores of Melancholia“ veröffentlicht.

„Das Album reflektiert die gestörte Beziehung zwischen unserem persönlichen Leben und der äußeren Welt“, erklärt Kjetil Nordhus. „Es geht darum, den Glauben an die Welt zu verlieren, die wir kennengelernt haben, und wie das zu einer inneren Dystopie führt.“

Die Modern Metal-Band ANARIA hat mit „Chasing Shadows“ eine weiteren neue Single mitsamt Video-Clip veröffentlicht.

Chris Koehn is a musician whose artistry lies in his ability to transform personal pain into universal resonance. He creates an environment conducive to healing, gently guiding listeners through shared emotional landscapes without imposing definitive narratives. His latest single, I’m A Little Broken, is an intimate exploration of fragility and recovery, a delicate union of sorrow and subtle optimism born from personal upheaval. Collaborating with New York artist Joseph Arthur, Koehn has sculpted a soundscape lush with gentle shoegaze textures, each note suspended as if within a dream, unspooling into the ether with contemplative grace. Earlier collaborations with Florencia Quinteros of Celest have already revealed Koehn’s affinity for celestial expanses reminiscent of Bowie’s enigmatic final act, Blackstar.

Influenced profoundly by the passing of his brother, Koehn channels emotional turbulence into meditative sonic stillness. The music hovers delicately at the intersection of hope and sorrow, a contemplative reflection suspended in perpetual twilight. This is the effervescence we crave during moments of grief and lamentation.

I’m A Little Broken gently whispers permission to embrace imperfection. It is music for quiet moments of reflection, drawing listeners closer to an understanding that healing begins when we courageously acknowledge our fractures, and bravely, tenderly, move forward.

My Vertigo, initially a volatile dancefloor charge from Vexillary’s Horror in Dub, now drifts weightlessly through space, reshaped in Leon Switch’s deft remix. If the original ignited flames, this revision beckons through smoke.

Reza Seirafi, the mind behind Vexillary, hails from realms of chemistry and fragrance. A former perfumer, his approach blends alchemy with artistry, merging unexpected elements until they bloom into something utterly alien. His methodology holds a distorted logic, akin to scent lingering after lightning strikes.

My Vertigo (Leon Switch ReDub) awakens with a subterranean drone that coils around your chest. Like a signal pulsing through an empty passageway, it’s sleek, slippery, and edged with menace…Switch has transmuted its essence. Where jolting EBM once pierced, a seductive rhythm now throbs beneath the surface. Anxiety melts into ambience, suspended halfway between the airlock of an abandoned starship and a feverish reverie dissolving frame by frame.

Seirafi’s self-directed video dwells within its haze. Actress Sigrid Freborg portrays a woman unraveling inside a half-forgotten dream, mouthing words delivered by Baylee as if conjuring memories through amnesia. When the change finally consumes her, she’s beyond recognition, a vision Kubrick might conceive and Lynch would dare to film.

My Vertigo (Leon Switch ReDub) evades clarity, embracing confusion and finding truth in abstraction. It’s less a remix than resurrection: enigmatic, eerie, and effortlessly magnetic.

With his EPs for Blaq Records, Reza Seirafi took on classic industrial sounds as ingredients and transmuted them to leave a refreshing modern take in his trail. In 2021, after nearly a decade of releasing music on independent labels, Vexillary founded his own imprint, con:trace. Vexillary’s first LP on the label, Full Frontal Lunacy, was a riveting EBM concept album juxtaposing Vexillary’s own brush with madness with that of a society on the brink of downfall.

Vexillary’s coveted sophomore full-length, Crash and Yearn, followed soon after in the summer of 2022. The critically acclaimed album presented an evolution in sound with its bold production choices, emotive vocals, and storytelling. 2023’s Horror in Dub is a compelling electronic outing that saw  Vexillary adding a new layer of dubtinted bass music to his technoid darkwave palette to present a deep dive into the realm of horror and haunting beauty.

Stripped bare, split open, stitched anew: Horror ReDubs takes the sinew and circuitry of Horror in Dub and reanimates it into something colder, harder, hungrier. Vexillary’s third LP, already a monster of its own making, is dissected and reassembled by ten sonic surgeons, each grafting their own pulse onto its mechanized carcass. Blush Response twists Insurrection into a metallic snarl, Leon Switch drags My Vertigo into a bass-drenched abyss, VHS Head fractures Paris Spleen into a stuttering, static-laced hallucination. This is a machine-stitched nightmare stalking the wastelands of a world gone wrong.

New York’s internationally renowned gothic and post-punk festival, A Murder of Crows (AMOC), returns Labor Day weekend, August 29-30, 2025, heralded by a spirited opening bash at TV Eye on August 28. The storied Bowery Ballroom, host in 2022-23, opens its doors once again, ushering a decade of dark revelry to its revered halls.

Born from twilight musings between NYC promoter Sean Templar, known for curating acclaimed goth nights The Red Party and Underworld, and fellow scene veterans Dave Bats (Los Angeles) and Martin Oldgoth (London), A Murder of Crows first took flight after a nocturnal epiphany at Leipzig’s Wave Gotik Treffen. Launched modestly in 2015 with just three bands and a quartet of DJs at Mercury Lounge, it swiftly expanded to two nights in 2016, augmented by a marathon Twitch stream in 2021, and further bolstered by a pre-party since 2023.

Templar reflects warmly on the festival’s journey: “We had such an incredible time during A Murder of Crows 2024. There was so much love from our tribe, fantastic bands, unforgettable parties, top-notch gothic and post-punk sounds, and countless friends gathered from North America and Europe. We had to return with a bang for our 10th birthday in 2025 and can’t wait to gather our people for an amazing weekend celebrating our scene. Each artist has been thoughtfully chosen, mixing revered legends of deathrock and post-punk with newer acts captivating audiences through dynamic performances.”

Kicking off festivities, the pre-party at TV Eye features shadowy sounds from The Brickbats and The Long Losts, supported by a globe-spanning collective of 17 goth DJs.  Friday’s bill summons German luminaries Pink Turns Blue, flanked by US-based torchbearers Hallowed Hearts, Astari Nite, Soft Vein, and Ritual Howls. The festival crescendos on night two with the chilling resonance of Octavian Winters, the ferocious theatrics of Altar de Fey, Nox Novacula’s sharp gloom, and Vision Video’s cinematic presence, culminating in the death-rock grandeur of legendary headliners 45 Grave.

The Brickbats are New York’s original deathrock, horrorpunk, and undead rock and roll music makers. They formed in New York in 1995, played gigs until 2000, then went on hiatus until a show and a comp in 2013. They reformed in 2015 and, for some “stupid reason,” haven’t stopped since.

The Last Night You’ll Ever See Me Alive/Grimhaunter by THE BRICKBATS

Formed in 2012,  The Long Losts are a gothic rock duo known for their haunting harmonies and spine-chilling narratives, fashioned as much from the fabric of fantasy and horror as from the threads of personal emotion. Comprising the couple Patrick and Anka, their music weaves a tapestry of love, death, and the supernatural, encapsulated in Anka’s ethereal vocals and Patrick’s atmospheric guitar work. They’ll be joined on stage at the pre-party by George Grant from Black Rose Burning, former bassist for Aurelio Voltaire, and previous leader of the Serpenteens.

Formed in 1985 in the first generation of gothic rock, today Pink Turns Blue is Mic Jogwer (vocals, guitar), Paul Richter (drums) and Luca Sammuri (bass). Named after a Hüsker Dü song, they debuted with ‘If Two Worlds Kiss’, a seminal post-punk album that also advanced the darkwave sub-genre. Known for their trademark blend of post-punk, alternative rock and new wave, they have released a dozen full-length LPs since emerging from the fear and uncertainty of a divided Cold War Germany. From their early breakthrough with If Two Worlds Kiss to their newest release, Black Swan, the Berlin-based
trio has remained a vital force in the international post-punk community, shaping and reshaping the genre across decades.

Ritual Howls create a cinematic blend of twangy industrial-rock that could fuel a post-apocalyptic dancefloor. A collaboration between Paul Bancell (vocals, guitar), Chris Samuels (synth, samples, drum machine), and Ben Saginaw (bass), the Detroit trio creates expansive arrangements sculpted with masterful production.

Virtue Falters by Ritual Howls

Soft Vein was formed in 2022, garnering a cult following in the Los Angeles darkwave scene, which would continue to grow. Their second album was inspired by a sense of loneliness. Songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Justin Chamberlain expands and evolves with his unique brand of darkly romantic, industrial-tinged electronic music, creating a unique blend of “nostalgic futurism” eschewing the icy cold landscape and aesthetics of the first album in favour of heat, desire, and fantasy.

FROM ANOTHER ROOM (EP) by SOFT VEIN

Astari Nite is an alternative rock band that has made a significant mark in the dark wave music scene. Originating from Miami, Fl, their music blends elements of alternative, post- punk and new wave, resulting in a distinctive dark glam sound. Their style is reminiscent of classic alternative bands like Clan of Xymox and Placebo, yet their modern production and unique lyrical content give them a contemporary edge.

As If You Were Dead by Astari Nite

Evoking the spectral fire of the ’80s, filtered through the dystopian lens of the 2020’s, Hallowed Hearts is memorable post-punk. Singer Alex Virlios leads a winding journey of love and loss, while multi-instrumentalist Andrew Sega (ex. Iris) paints a three-dimensional canvas of angular guitars and distorted ambience.

45 Grave was born in the chaos of the Punk movement in 1979 and churned out their own brand of Ghoul Rock. 45 Grave is recognised as one of the first American gothic bands. The 45 Grave song Party Time (Zombie Version) made it onto the movie soundtrack for Return of the Living Dead. Party Time also made a full rotation on MTV in 1984.

Formed in Georgia in 2020 by Dusty Gannon (synths and vocals), whose character videos featuring “Goth Dad” have won the hearts of hundreds of thousands of followers, Vision Video creates accessible modern goth rock with a message. Intense and uncompromising, their music injects modern malaise into classic post-punk and new wave, bringing in a refreshing modern element while paying homage to artists like the Chameleons and the Cure.

Emanating from the pallid, meagre cemetery known as Seattle, Washington, Nox Novacula assumed the form of flesh in 2017 in an attempt to spread their hymns of gothic rock n’ roll to the unassuming masses. Nox Novacula breathes a breath of cold, dead air over the corpse of the modern goth and death rock scene. While homage is certainly (and devoutly) paid to their 1980s predecessors, a distinctly modern approach to personal and political struggle places Nox Novacula in a category of their own.

Altar De Fey originated in San Francisco in the early 1980s as part of the emerging musical form that would come to be known as Deathrock. Out of the Zeitgeist flash of ’70s Punk Rock, the new sound took the darkest elements of the counterculture into ever deeper gloomier and more mature territory.

Octavian Winters was born into the ghostly isolation of San Francisco in 2022, during the third winter of the pandemic. Octavian Winters is guitarist Stephan Salit (Thrill of The Pull), drummer Randy Gzebb (Thrill of The Pull, Love Club), bassist Jay Denton, and Ria (Amenti) Aursjoen on vocals and keyboards. Together, they weave their visceral and ethereal sound into stories once told but half-remembered, under a dusk of shadows and stars, in an abandoned city under the winter moon.

Celebrating four decades since their American breakthrough, Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark have unveiled an expansive reissue of their influential album, Crush, due out October 10th via UMR/Virgin. The announcement arrives hot on the heels of the recent anniversary of their equally celebrated LP, Junk Culture.

Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark Celebrate 40 Years of “Crush” With Expanded Edition LP Re-Release



Initially surfacing on June 17th, 1985, Crush marked a pivotal juncture for OMD, catapulting them firmly onto American shores. Driven by the luminous allure of So In Love, a Billboard Top 40 entrant, and the infectious radio favourite Secret, Crush swiftly secured accolades on both sides of the Atlantic. Its enduring resonance amongst fans and band members alike underscores its lasting appeal.



Born from rough sketches in Liverpool’s Amazon Studios during a bleak winter in 1984, the band, comprising Andy McCluskey, Paul Humphreys, multi-instrumentalist Martin Cooper, and drummer Malcolm Holmes, soon moved operations to the rural tranquility of Oxfordshire’s The Manor. There, with American producer Stephen Hague at the helm, they crafted a collection ripe with precise pop sensibility.

“We felt for the first time like we needed somebody to help us focus on the production,” reflects McCluskey. “We were too close to these half-written songs and needed someone who could be a little bit more objective. Stephen had a very slick production sound. Maybe unconsciously, we were also thinking, ‘If we’re going to break America, we need to be a bit more polished’.”

The gamble on Hague’s glossy aesthetic paid dividends, resulting in a record still cherished today. McCluskey acknowledges the intense conditions behind its making yet remains unequivocal about its value: “We managed to create an exceedingly good album. We are very proud of every track.”

This anniversary edition, available as a 2LP (black and coloured vinyl), 2CD, and digitally, has been meticulously remastered from original analogue masters. Notably expansive, the reissue includes seven unreleased tracks from multitrack sessions, newly mixed by Humphreys, along with two demos, an alternative mix, four previously unheard songs, non-album b-sides, and rare 12″ extended mixes. Accompanying the music, journalist Jason Draper provides insightful liner notes featuring fresh interviews with McCluskey.

“The 40th anniversary re-release of Crush has been a wonderful opportunity for us to re-assess the album,” McCluskey notes thoughtfully. “1985 was a period of great intensity with constant touring and time pressure in the studio, but we created a powerful collection of songs and lyrical themes. In hindsight, we made a much better album than we knew at the time. Two hit singles, So in Love and Secret, remain live set constants to this day. There is raw energy and anger in 88 Seconds in Greensboro, swaggering pomp in The Native Daughters of the Golden West, and the melancholy shroud of the title track, Crush, juxtaposing relentless samples of Japanese TV adverts against weary vocals and somnambulant instrumentation perfectly captures the jet lag-induced dream state of global touring. We changed style and musical palette, but Crush retains a confidence and energy that I am very proud of.”

„‚Alienation‘ ist eine Reise durch inneren Zusammenbruch und äußeren Trotz – die Songs reflektieren Isolation als einen Zustand der Existenz, nicht nur als Umstand. Die neueste Single ist die dritte Auskopplung aus dem kommenden  Studioalbum „Buried In Jade“, das am 8. August über Pale Chord/Rise Records BMG veröffentlicht wird. Sänger James DeBerg sagt über das Album:

„Der gesamte kreative Prozess für dieses Album war für uns von Anfang bis Ende ein perfekter Sturm und das Team von Freunden, mit denen wir zusammengearbeitet haben, um dieses Album zu produzieren, hat uns geholfen, etwas Besonderes zu schaffen, in das wir uns wirklich verlieben konnten. Die letzte Platte, die wir veröffentlicht haben, war unsere „Covid Lockdown“-Platte, die wir größtenteils in unseren eigenen vier Wänden gemacht haben – also war es unglaublich erfrischend und lohnend für unser Team, wieder ins Studio zu gehen und ein richtiges Album zu machen.

Dieses Album ist ein Tagebuch über alles in meinem Leben, was ich nicht kontrollieren kann, und ein Tagebuch der mentalen Frustration, die mit dem Kampf gegen solche Vergeblichkeiten in meinem Kopf einhergeht. Jadeschmuck hat die Bedeutung von Glück, Wohlstand, Schutz und soll Reichtum im Überfluss ins Leben bringen. Der Gedanke, in Jade begraben zu werden, birgt eine
symbolische Vergeblichkeit und situative Ironie, die ich für einen passenden Titel für dieses ‚Tagebuch‘ von Liedern für diesen Teil meiner Existenz hielt.“

Suede have never been short on communal catharsis, but their latest offering pushes that electricity into the red. “Dancing With The Europeans,” the third advance track from the forthcoming LP Antidepressants, bottles the euphoria of a tour‑bus fever dream and shakes it across four delirious minutes of serrated guitars and splash‑happy drums. Penned by the classic Anderson/Oakes/Codling/Osman/Gilbert axis and produced once again by sonic confidant Ed Buller, the track feels more than the spiritual sequel to 2022’s punk‑lean LP Autofiction—this is peak Suede, a band who were always more post-punk than the pejorative label “Brit-pop.”

Written after a sweat‑soaked night in Spain where the walls between band and audience were blissfully dissolved, the single marries elegiac post‑punk chords to an almost college rock‑bright chorus hook. “If Autofiction was our punk record, Antidepressants is our post‑punk record,” Anderson has said of Antidepresents. “Broken music for broken people.” Yet this track radiates something defiantly hopeful—an invitation to lose yourself in the volume of togetherness.

The song’s lyrics read like a manifesto for modern displacement, folding motorway imagery and “blue and yellow lights” into a chorus that reframes alienation as communion. Anderson’s repeated mantra—“I got a European stain within me and a European suffering”—lands somewhere between Allen Ginsberg’s Howl and a Ryanair boarding call, underscoring the album’s fascination with simulated connection and borrowed identities.

“I have this phrase: connecting in a disconnected world,” Brett Anderson recently told NME. “I feel as though the 21st Century is a paradox. The more we’re connected, the less we’re connected.

Director Chris Turner (Bloc Party, Hurts)’s brilliant music video for the song features a single-take performance shot during a secret, invitation-only gig at Bush Hall, London, this past June. Hand‑held Super‑16 stock wrestles with high‑contrast digital footage, capturing flailing limbs, impromptu stage invasions, and a tide of fans surging over the lip of the stage. The bruised‑neon palette echoes the Dean Chalkley artwork photography that will front the new album, while Steve Annis’s restless camera makes sure no bead of sweat goes undocumented.  It already feels like required viewing for anyone who ever howled the chorus to “Beautiful Ones” in a club basement at 2 a.m.

Tracked between Brussels’ ICP Studios, London’s RAK & Sleeper Sounds, and Stockholm’s RMV, Suede’s tenth studio outing promises angular guitars, analogue shadows, and the band’s perennial bruised romanticism. Key moments include the gale‑force opener “Disintegrate,” the title track’s serrated lullaby, and epic closer “Life Is Endless, Life Is a Moment.” Alan Moulder’s mix (pending final confirmation) and John Davis’s mastering give the record teeth and tenderness in equal measure.

Antidepressants is set for release on  September 5th, 2025, via BMG/The Orchard.

Modern Metalcore aus Wiesbaden: ACCVSED feierten ihren Labeldeal mit Arising Empire und haben im Zuge dessen einige Singles veröffentlicht: Nach dem Video zu „Day Of The Locust“ gab es den Clip zu „Avoider“ sowie den Track „Never Enough“ im Stream.

Anschließend folgte ein weiterer Song in Form von „Don’t Let Me Fall Apart“ bei YouTube – das Stück ist eine Zusammenarbeit mit THE NARRATOR. Jetzt folgt auf den Titeltrack „Dealers Of Doom“ und die Nummer „Make Sure It Hurts“ eine weitere Auskopplung: „Senescence“ bei YouTube.

Die Modern / Alternative Metal-Band LOST IN HOLLYWOOD hat einen Vertrag mit Arising Empire abgeschlossen. Die dritte Single unter dem neuen Label trägt den Namen „The Art Of Being Torn Out“ und ist eine Zusammenarbeit mit HALF ME.

Die Rock-Band CARDINAL BLACK hat einen Vertrag mit Thirty Tigers abgeschlossen. Den Labeldeal feierten die Briten mit einem neuen Musikvideo: „Holding My Breath“ ist bei YouTube zu sehen. Anschließend folgte mit der Single „Keep On Running“ auch die Albumankündigung: „Midnight At The Valencia“ erschien am 23. Mai 2025.

Nach „Need More Time“ und „Breathe“ soll jetzt eine weitere Single die Wartezeit bis zur Tournee im Herbst verkürzen: „Morning Light“ ist als Live-Clip bei YouTube abrufbar.

Im November geht die Gruppe dann auf Tour, um die Platte live vorzustellen.

PERTURBATOR meldet sich mit neuer Musik zurück. Nach dem Vertragsabschluss mit Nuclear Blast gab es das erste Stück unter neuer Flagge. „The Art Of War“ ist als Clip bei YouTube zu sehen. Jetzt folgt nach der zweiten Single „Apocalypse Now“ – einer Kollaboration mit Kristoffer Rygg (ULVER) – die nächste Auskopplung „The Swimming Pool“. Das zugehörige Album „Age Of Aquarius“ erscheint am 10. Oktober 2025.

Mastermind James Kent erklärt zum ersten Vorboten „The Art Of War“:

„‘The Art of War‘ ist der sechste Track des Albums und derjenige mit dem deutlichsten EBM-Einschlag. Es geht darum, wie wir dazu neigen, alles zu einem Spektakel zu machen, und wie wir Akte der Gewalt als Unterhaltung konsumieren.“

Im Herbst 2025 geht PERTURBATOR dann auf Headline-Tour durch Europa. Als Support mit dabei sind KAELAN MIKLA sowie GOST.

Das SUMMER BREEZE findet vom 13. bis 16. August 2025 in Dinkelsbühl statt. Nachdem die Early Bird-Tickets schnell vergriffen waren, stellten die Veranstalter weitere 5.000 Karten zum „Lazy Bird“-Tarif ab 219,99€ zur Verfügung gestellt. Die reguläre Karte kostet mittlerweile 239,99€. Bestellen kann man auf sbtix.de/produkte. Im Preis mit inbegriffen ist das Camping vor Ort, jedoch wird es auch 2025 möglich sein, nach Bedarf zusätzliche Optionen zu buchen: Neben Comfort und Accessible Camping, gibt es reservierte Flächen für Gruppen, ausgewiesene Parzellen für Fahrzeuge über 3,5 Tonnen sowie ruhige Bereiche ohne Aggregate. Mehr als 120 Bands werden auf dem SUMMER BREEZE 2024 zwischen 13. und 17. August 2024 auftreten. Um den erwarteten 40.000 Besuchern ein ausgewogenes Programm zu bieten, findet das musikalische Programm erneut auf insgesamt vier Bühnen statt. Neben der Main Stage gibt es die kleinere T-Stage, die Wera Tool Rebel Stage sowie den Campsite Circus.

Die Anreise nach Dinkelsbühl

Für die Anfahrt mit dem Auto empfehlen die Veranstalter die folgende Adresse als Navigationshilfe: Illenschwang, 91749 Wittelshofen (Link zu Google Maps). Aufgrund von Bauarbeiten weisen die Veranstalter darauf hin, das Festivalgelände unbedingt über Dinkelsbühl anzusteuern.

Anreisende mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln finden über den Reiseplaner der Deutschen Bahn alle Sonderfahrten direkt zum Festivalgelände. Die Veranstalter empfehlen die Anreise über Ellwangen; weitere Startpunkte nach Dinkelsbühl sind Ansbach, Crailsheim sowie Dombühl. Ab Dinkelsbühl fährt der kostenlose Shuttlebus direkt zum Festivalgelände.

Nun sind auch alle Informationen zur (Früh-)Anreise bekannt: Im Vergleich zum Vorjahr hat man das System nochmals komplett überarbeitet. Die bisherige Frühanreisegebühr entfällt. Dafür müssen alle Gäste, die mit einem Fahrzeug anreisen, nun vorab einen Anreiseslot buchen (Montag bis Samstag). Die Kosten werden pro Fahrzeug berechnet und richten sich nach dem Anreisetag:

Buchen kann man seinen Slot ab 27. Mai 2025 (17:30 Uhr) über den offiziellen Festival-Shop. Die Veranstalter stellen genügend Slots in Aussicht, um es allen nach Wunsch zu ermöglichen, rechtzeitig zum offiziellen Festivalbeginn am Mittwoch auf dem Gelände zu sein,.

 

Die Anreise ist dann innerhalb des gebuchten Slots möglich – Besucher:innen werden gebeten, einen entsprechenden zeitlichen Puffer einzuplanen, um innerhalb des Zeitfenster in Dinkeslbühl anzukommen. Camping auf dem SUMMER BREEZE 2025

Wie beim SUMMER BREEZE üblich, ist Camping auf dem Campingplatz im Ticketpreis inbegriffen. Auf dem Gelände zugelassen sind jedoch nur Fahrzeuge bis 3,5 Tonnen, für die ein Parkticket gelöst werden muss (Preis 2024: 20,-€). Fahrzeuge, die mehr als 3,5t wiegen, können auf dem kostenpflichtigen Tagesparkplatz abgestellt werden. Der Tagesparkplatz ist täglich ab 9 Uhr geöffnet. Darüber hinaus gibt es einen separaten Campingbereich für Wohnmobile (auch über 3,5t). Für Anhänger ist ebenfalls ein separates Parkticket nötig.

Wie in den vergangenen Jahren herrscht auf dem Camping-Gelände Glasverbot. Ausgenommen hiervon sind Medikamente, Parfums und Wasserpfeifen. Offene Feuer sind ebenfalls untersagt. Nicht unter dieses Verbot fallen Gaskocher (erlaubt sind Gasflaschen bis 11kg) und Holzkohlegrills. Voraussetzung ist jedoch stets das Betreiben auf einer feuerfesten Unterlage.

Um der Müllsituation Herr zu werden, werden an die Besucher erneut Müllsäcke ausgegeben, weitere Beutel sind bei Bedarf voraussichtlich an den “Shit’n’Shower”-Stationen erhältlich, wo man zudem an eingerichteten Müllstationen seinen Abfall entsorgen kann (getrennt nach Restmüll, Papier und gelbem Sack).

Nachtruhe auf dem Camping-Gelände herrscht ab 1 Uhr. Ab diesem Zeitpunkt sollten Stromaggregate abgeschaltet und laute Musikbeschallung vermieden werden. In den blauen und grünen Camping-Arealen wird die Nachtruhe strikt eingehalten.

Für das Jahr 2025 sind noch wenige reservierbare Campingflächen verfügbar. Ebenfalls noch buchbar sind einige Comfort-Optionen (Stand: 24.04.2025). Über die offizielle Homepage ist es zudem weiterhin möglich, mobile Ladestationen, Kühlboxen und Dosenbier zu bestellen / mieten.

Neben den kostenfreien Mobiltoiletten finden sich auf dem Gelände zudem mehrere “Shit’n’Shower”-Stationen. Die Nutzung der dortigen Spültoiletten kostete in den vergangenen Jahren 1,-€, die der Dusche schlug mit 2,50€ zu Buche. Eine Flatrate für voraussichtlich 15,-€ (Vorjahrespreis) kann man ebenfalls vor Ort oder vorab digital abschließen.

Rahmenprogramm, Busshuttle und Freizeitaktivitäten

Auf dem SUMMER BREEZE 2025 ist abseits der Bühnen selbstverständlich wieder einiges geboten. Wie gehabt organisieren die Kollegen von Metal.de an ihrem Stand Autogrammstunden mit verschiedensten Bands des Festivals. Die genauen Zeitpläne sind online über die Festival-App oder die offizielle Website einsehbar.

Essen und Trinken kann man selbstverständlich an einem der zahlreichen Stände auf dem Konzertgelände. Zahlreiche vegane und vegetarische Optionen werden ebenfalls verfügbar sein. Wer auf dem Konzertgelände nicht fündig wird, kann sein Glück in den Festival-Supermärkten versuchen. Dort kann vorbestelltes Bier zudem bis 01:30 Uhr abgeholt werden. Öffnungszeiten Supermarkt:

Am Ende eines schweißtreibenden Festivaltages kann man sich an einem der zwei großen Merchandise-Stände einkleiden. Dort gibt es sowohl aktuelles Festival- als auch Bandmerch zu kaufen.

Mittlerweile auch feste Institution ist das rund um die Uhr besetzte Awareness-Zelt.

Wer einen Ausflug ins nahegelegene Dinkelsbühl plant, kann eines der kostenlosen Busshuttles nutzen. Diese pendeln ganztägig zwischen dem Festivalgelände und der Ortschaft, die genauen Fahrzeiten haben wir hier zusammengefasst:

In Dinkelsbühl gibt es zahlreiche Kneipen, Restaurants und Cafés. Auch der Besuch des Hallenbads oder des Wörnitzstrandbads ist möglich.

Zudem bietet das SUMMER BREEZE 2025 auf dem Campsite Circus ein umfassendes Rahmenprogramm an. Neben dem etablierten Metal Yoga gibt es 2025 auch ein Metal Workout, eine Artwork-Ausstellung, Discobetrieb sowie ein Harsh Vocals-Workshop mit HIRAES-Sängerin Britt Görtz.

An welchen Tagen die unterschiedlichen Bands auftreten werden, haben die Veranstalter nun auch öffentlich gemacht. So headlinen etwa IN EXTREMO den Mittwoch, während GOJIRA den Donnerstag und BLIND GUARDIAN den Freitag anführen. Headliner am Samstag sind schließlich MACHINE HEAD.

Im Februar haben die Organisatoren mit 26 Neubestätigungen das Programm der drei Hauptbühnen komplettiert. Mit dabei sind MANTAR, VADER, ADEPT, EVERGREY, OMNIUM GATHERUM, CYPECORE, CYTOTOXIN, LOST SOCIETY, AEPHANEMER, EXTERMINATION DISMEMBERMENT, TO THE GRAVE, HIDEOUS DIVINITY, FIRTAN, ASENBLUT, COFFIN FEEDER, MÚR, STELLVRIS, DEFECTS, NATTVERD, FIGHT THE FIGHT, SEVEN BLOOD, FROZEN CROWN, SUNKEN, TERRORPY, KŌYA sowie BLASMUSIK ILLENSCHWANG.

Im Dezember 2024 legte das Festival mit weiteren Neubestätigungen nach. Mit dabei sind WARDRUNA, DIE APOKALYPTISCHEN REITER, SÓLSTAFIR, AGNOSTIC FRONT, BORKNAGAR, COLDRAIN, SUFFOCATION, HARAKIRI FOR THE SKY, WARMEN, KUPFERGOLD, CRYSTAL LAKE, HELLRIPPER und BAEST.

Im November 2024 erweiterte eine zweite Bandwelle das Line-up des Open Airs um 30 weitere Acts. Neben BLIND GUARDIAN, die ganz oben auf dem Plakat Platz nehmen, spielen auch WITHIN TEMPTATION, LANDMVRKS, HÄMATOM, KISSIN‘ DYNAMITE, KANONENFIEBER, ENSIFERUM, KUBLAI KHAN TX, PRIMORDIAL, TURBOBIER, HEAVYSAURUS, CHARLOTTE WESSELS, DOMINUM, LIK, 3 INCHES OF BLOOD, WARBRINGER, EVIL INVADERS, DOWNSET, ELVENKING, SCHATTENMANN, MASTER, IOTUNN, IMPERIAL TRIUMPHANT, ABBIE FALLS, NYTT LAND, HAMMER KING, DESTINITY, STESY sowie ARCTIS in Dinkelsbühl.

SPITE hingegen mussten ihre Teilnahme absagen. Kurzfristig mussten die Veranstalter das Billing nochmals umkrempeln: Sowohl COUNTERPARTS als auch SAXON mussten ihre Teilnahme aus gesundheitlichen Gründen absagen. Dafür spielen BEAST IN BLACK und BREAKDOWN OF SANITY auf dem Open Air.

Zudem ist das Line-up für das Jahr 2025 vollständig. “We will not abandon you.” Es sind Worte, die Halt geben sollen und trotzdem ein wenig Unsicherheit mitschwingen lassen: Während uns Ronnie Canizaro im Opener „Seppuku“ uns seinen Rückhalt zusichert, wissen wir bereits um den Besetzungstrubel seiner Band. Keyboarder Joe Buras, der noch am Songwriting von „Through Shadows“ beteiligt war, verließ BORN OF OSIRIS im Jahr 2024, Lead-Gitarrist Lee McKinney folgte ihm 2025 nur wenige Wochen vor der Veröffentlichung der Platte.

Doch auch zu dritt sei man noch standhaft, wollen wir für uns als Quintessenz aus dem Eröffnungstrack ziehen, welcher einen guten Ausblick auf die folgenden 48 Minuten gibt. Ihren modernen Metalcore inszenieren die US-Amerikaner zeitgemäß mittels einer gesunden Balance aus Riffs und begleitender Synthesizer. Jene sind stets präsent, übernehmen im Refrain des eingängigen „Elevate“ allerdings auch mal die Melodieführung.

BORN OF OSIRIS setzen auf „Through Shadows“ immer wieder leicht progressive Akzente
Gut ins Ohr gehen die 13 Stücke eigentlich immer, wobei die wirklichen Überraschungsmomente auf den ersten Blick rar gesät sind. Fast erweckt es den Eindruck, als orientierten sich BORN OF OSIRIS vornehmlich an „Best Practice“-Modellen des zeitgenössischer Metalcores. Die Feinheiten erschließen sich uns folglich schrittweise, wenn wir die Aufmerksamkeit auf die transparenten Soundscapes abseits des Klargesangs in „Through Shadows“ legen.

Zugänglich gestaltet sich das Songwriting eigentlich immer, hält sich jedoch durch progressive Akzente jung: Besonders das Solo im erwähnten „Through Shadows“ weiß zu gefallen, wobei Nick Rossi und Lee McKinney an den Gitarren auch anderweitig in kreativer Weise zusammenspielen, sich duellieren, sich ergänzen. Die kraftvolle und bis zu einem gewissen Grad sterile Produktion sorgt derweil für einen hochmodernen sowie digitalen Touch, welcher der Platte gut zu Gesicht steht, obwohl er konträr zu den warmen Farben des Artworks läuft.

Selbst ähnlich gelagerten Song verpassen BORN OF OSIRIS genug eigenen Charakter
Die groovenden Djent-Vibes von „Inverno“ gipfeln in einem recht simpel gehaltenen Breakdown, dem die unterlegten Chöre ein gesundes Maß Dramatik verleihen. Symphonic-Elemente erwirken im sonst ähnlich gelagerten „A Mind Short Circuiting“ anschließend einen ähnlichen Effekt, bevor die Nummer das Ganze aber noch durch seinen Tempowechsel krönt. „In Desolation“ schließlich paart den verbissenen Djentcore mit einer klar gesungenen Hook: Selbst ähnlich gelagerten Songs verpassen BORN OF OSIRIS genug eigenen Charakter.

Trotz des erkennbaren Ringens um Abwechslung, das mit dem Synth-Instrumental „Burning Light“ einen Ruhepol zur Mitte ebenso enthält wie ein Saxofon in „Activated“, bewegt sich die Band jedoch zu nah an den etablierten Genre-Konventionen, um die Spannungskurve über knapp 50 Minuten aufrechtzuerhalten. Ein bis zwei Songs weniger hätten „Through Shadows“ daher wohl zu einem runderen Gesamtwerk gemacht, obwohl es grundsätzlich nicht an der Qualität einzelner Stücke liegt.

Zuviel des Guten also? Eigentlich auch nicht so richtig, denn langwierig wird das Album keineswegs – wir driften ob der Übersättigung im letzten Drittel nur ein wenig öfter ab, als uns lieb wäre. Wieder einfangen können und BORN OF OSIRIS nichtsdestotrotz immer wieder auf Neue und mit beängstigender Zielstrebigkeit – trotz Besetzungsnotstand meint es Ronnie Canizaro offenbar ernst, wenn er uns bereits im Auftakt den bedingungslosen Rückhalt zusichert.
