18.09.2025 - Panopticon - …And Again into the Light 12,99 €
-> >;Originally released in 2021, “...And Again into the Light” marked a profound new chapter for Panopticon. The album’s sprawling compositions weave aggressive metal, Appalachian folk, and atmospheric textures into a deeply personal meditation on grief, renewal, and the human cost of industrialisation.-> >;
-> >;
A work of immense emotional depth, “...And Again into the Light” explores the turbulence of midlife, the consequences of past choices, and the longing for atonement – themes mirrored by the broader existential threat of ecological collapse. Across its eight tracks, Austin Lunn draws the listener through soaring clean vocals, raw fury, and haunting acoustic passages, forging a journey both harrowing and hopeful.-> >;
-> >;
Lauded as one of Panopticon’s most powerful and cohesive statements, “...And Again into the Light” remains a landmark achievement – a soul-baring reflection wrapped in some of the most evocative and genre-defying extreme metal of its era.

18.09.2025 - Panopticon - The Rime of Memory 12,99 €
-> >;A deeply introspective work, the 2023 “The Rime of Memory” is the second chapter in Panopticon’s trilogy exploring ageing, grief, and the emotional fallout of environmental collapse. Expanding on the themes introduced in “...And Again into the Light”, this album leads listeners into colder, more cinematic territory – weaving Appalachian folk, symphonic grandeur, and searing metal into a single, immersive journey.-> >;
-> >;
With sweeping orchestral movements, a global choir, and collaborations in both sound and visual art, “The Rime of Memory” stands as one of Austin Lunn’s most expansive statements to date. Shifting between moments of crushing intensity and quiet contemplation, it draws the listener into a world shaped by memory, sorrow, and a fragile sense of hope.

18.09.2025 - IRON MAIDEN: “Run For Your Lives“-Tour mit Konzert am 2.
„Wir alle lieben diese RUN FOR YOUR LIVES TOUR.

18.09.2025 - JUSTICE THEORY: neue Heavy / Thrash Metal Single „This is Our War“

18.09.2025 - SLYTHER: Opener vom neuen Thrash Metal / Crossover Album „Chronicles of Despair“ als Lyric-Video

Oktober 2025 via Time To Kill Records erscheinen. Vorab gibt es einen Video-Clip zu „Visions„. Der Song behandelt das Thema der Schlaflähmung und sei eine Metapher für die unbewussten Ängste, die durch globale Spannungen ausgelöst werden.

17.09.2025 - NYC’s Native Sun Debuts Stark Black and White Video for Jangly Garage Anthem “Whose Kids”

The years shift like sand beneath our feet, and each new generation stands bewildered at the ruins left behind, accusing voices raised toward those who came before. The elders shake their heads, muttering of innocence, of ignorance, as though history were not their signature scrawled in smoke. And the young, trembling with fury and hunger, point to the ashes and cry for justice. But blame is a wheel that turns endlessly. Who will step forward, bare-chested in the storm, and claim the burden? Don’t you feel it, too…that hollow ache? Who among us dares answer for what comes next?
New York City’s Native Sun are never ones to play it safe. Their debut LP, Concrete Language, released via TODO Records, thrums with immediacy: raw, restless. Colombian-born Danny Gomez stands at the mic with a preacher’s conviction and a fighter’s ferocity, his guitar cutting through like broken glass on wet pavement. Around him, Justin Barry steadies the bass with pulse and precision, while Jack Hiltabidle’s guitar coils and snaps. Argentine-born Nicolas Espinosa drives the charge on drums, never ornamental, always elemental.
The record feels like a furious letter written in capital letters across crumbling walls of the city. Each song is a scene from the underground: smoke, steel, sweat, and streetlight. Their latest single, Whose Kids, struts with glam’s crooked grin, recalling the stomp of T. Rex and the bravado of Mott the Hoople – even the chaos of The Monkees, but never descending into nostalgia.
The lyrics channel frustration with a generation’s hollow indulgences and empty gestures, setting fleeting rebellion against a yearning for something real. Peers and authority alike are dismissed, as the song pleads for honesty and closeness. Beneath it all lies a raw desire for escape and self-determined purpose; a call to arms to bury the hatchet of blame and place one’s stake in the shared struggle of humanity. It reminds us we are bound together, whether we like it or not. (Despite what TikTok influencers may have us believe!)
The chorus is pure electricity: call, response, a communal shout echoing against tenement bricks. Lyrically, Gomez sketches the portrait of the disillusioned, the displaced, the defiant wanderers of a fractured society. There’s fury in the phrasing, but also a rough grace for the misfits, giving them fire to burn.
The black-and-white video, directed by Conor James, captures a stripped-down performance inside a New York apartment, punctuated by smoke breaks. Watching feels like slipping into the room itself…flies on the wall in a fleeting artistic moment while the Ghost of New York City Past seems to tap gently at the window.
Watch below:
With Whose Kids, The band bridges garage urgency, punk abrasion, and art-rock ambition without calculation. Their fierce live reputation bleeds into the grooves: you hear the sweat, the stomp, the voices raised in unison. Concrete Language is the roar of a city that never sleeps.
Concrete Language is out now via TODO Records. Listen to Whose Kids below:
Native Sun spoke with Post-Punk.com about the impetus behind their lyrics, their inspirations, and where they’re at as a band in this moment.
“Whose Kids” explores your dissatisfaction with the state of your current generation–what drove you to write about this?
We didn’t set out to write a song about our generation. It came from a feeling we couldn’t ignore: people drifting through life, performing instead of living, going through the motions and keeping themselves distracted while the world unravels. Not everyone, but enough to notice a pattern of apathy and hollow gestures. The song came from wanting something real in a time that feels empty. Whose Kids isn’t about pointing fingers. It’s about holding up a mirror to a generation that feels restless but uncommitted, and asking, “Don’t you feel this too? Who’s ready to take responsibility for what comes next?”
You also cite people’s hollow gestures, boredom, and inaction as inspiration for the song–how do you see apathy seeping into today’s society? Do you find that it seeps into music (or art at large) as well?
Apathy grows when people feel powerless or burnt out. Everything is curated, quick, disposable, and it numbs us. You scroll past pain, past joy, past each other. It’s not that people don’t care, but caring takes energy, and most of us are exhausted. That same indifference shows up in art too. A lot of what gets made feels safe, polished, hollow. It’s lacking its human core. That’s what pushed us to write Whose Kids. We wanted to make something alive, messy, accountable. Something that demands attention and refuses to sit quietly. Art reflects society, and we wanted ours to push back.
This is the last single ahead of your new LP Concrete Language – how does it feel being so close to finally releasing your debut full length?
It feels surreal. This record has lived in our heads and as demos for some time, and now it’s about to exist in the world. We didn’t chase perfection, we chased honesty. Concrete Language is raw, urgent, and direct. Four people in a room wrestling with the chaos we live in, trying to give it shape, sound, and language. Releasing it is both a relief and a release. It’s letting go of what we’ve carried and hoping it connects with people who feel that same weight.
Native Sun recently played shows with Geese, Been Stellar, Sunflower Bean, YHWH Nailgun, and Model/Actriz. This fall, the band will embark on a North American tour supporting Bass Drum of Death, followed by their European and UK debut headline tour.

17.09.2025 - NOVEMBRE :: 1. Track vom kommenden Album

Speaking about the new track, songwriter Carmelo Orlando shared „The main riff of this track is deeply rooted in the ’80s, whether AOR or pop-rock. It’s hard to say exactly where it has sprung from, but I just know it’s extremely catchy – a true earworm. This song practically wrote itself – its structure was ready within a couple of hours. The lyrics describe a primal soul, coming from a distant era – raw, rough, yet pure. A state of being in which many people are forced to live their existence, trapped with no way out, unaware of their rarity, purity, and yet, capacity to cause harm.“

16.09.2025 - Panopticon - Laurentian Blue ab 12,99 €
-> >;With “Laurentian Blue”, Panopticon ventures beyond the boundaries of metal to explore an entirely different emotional terrain. Though not the band’s first foray into acoustic territory – “The Scars of Man on the Once Nameless Wilderness, Part 2” (2018) charted similar ground – this album deepens the journey. Described by Austin Lunn as ‘Northwoods Americana’ or ‘outdoor country’, it offers a raw and intimate reflection on loss, change, and the quiet strength of human connection.-> >;
-> >;
Written alongside “...And Again into the Light” (2021), this companion piece trades distortion for acoustic resonance – banjo, mandolin, resonator guitar, and twin violins painting a soundscape steeped in frost, memory, and resilience. While the palette is gentler, the themes remain no less weighty: the burden of regret, the passage of time, and the quiet act of holding on – not for oneself, but for those who remind us of our worth.-> >;
-> >;
Inspired by songwriters like Blaze Foley and Townes Van Zandt, “Laurentian Blue” is a record of stark beauty and quiet defiance. It stands as a testament to Panopticon’s ever-evolving spirit – wherever the sound may go, the heart remains the same.

12.09.2025 - Finnr’s Cane - Finnr’s Cane ab 9,98 €
-> >;The long Canadian winter has many voices, but few speak with the introspective clarity of Finnr’s Cane. Emerging from the icy expanse of Sudbury, Ontario, the duo’s self-titled fourth album is a meditation on transition: the slow dying of autumn, the silence of snowfall, and the liminal space between nature and civilisation.-> >;
-> >;
Though rooted in atmospheric black metal, Finnr’s Cane forgo many of the genre’s conventions. There is no bass guitar; instead, low-end warmth and mournful resonance are carried by cello and keyboard, lending the music an organic, almost spectral quality. Rather than follow rigid structures, their songs unfold through improvisation, guided by mood and instinct.-> >;
-> >;
Comparable in spirit to acts like Wolves in the Throne Room, Agalloch, and Fen, Finnr’s Cane tread a kindred path but speak in a voice entirely their own – one that has resonated since their 2010 debut, “Wanderlust”, and continued through critically acclaimed releases on Prophecy Productions and Frostscald Records. This latest work marks their first collaboration with Nordvis, a natural home for their singular vision.-> >;

11.09.2025 - Änterbila - Avart ab 9,98 €
-> >;Deep in the Swedish hinterlands, Änterbila have forged “Avart” (‘Aberration’) – a blackened folk metal descent into the darker currents of national folklore. If their debut opened the door to a world of superstition, “Avart” strides further inside, told not from the perspective of the wandering listener but through the eyes of the adversary.-> >;
Here dwell the outcasts and the damned: the murderer fated long before the act, the smith whose forge burns with otherworldly fire, the troll king ruling unseen, the man cursed to live and die as the ulv. The stories are told without compromise, the music captured in stark immediacy – recorded with almost no retakes, shaped collectively yet still guided by the band’s founding vision.-> >;
The sound shifts between the unruly and the enchanted – riffs caked in grime, melodies veiled in the haze of old superstition. Echoes of Arckanum, Taake, and Panphage linger, yet Änterbila occupy a realm entirely their own. Violins, bagpipes, and spectral female vocals – courtesy of Thomas von Wachenfeldt, Halte Galten, and Malin Runefelt – weave bright threads through the darkness.-> >;
What emerges is both vicious and spectral – the clash of steel in a torchlit hall, the weight of unseen eyes in a twilight forest. “Avart” doesn’t merely tell its tales; it traps you within them.Mixed by Lars Broddesson (ex-Marduk), mastered by Thomas von Wachenfeldt.-> >;

-> >;Originally released in 2015, “Blossom” showcased Nachtzeit’s evolution into a realm of luminous beauty. Brimming with meditative and wondrous tracks, the album marked one of Lustre’s most inspired works – shorter, vibrant compositions that moved beyond the project’s ambient roots to explore hopeful melodies and a more organic sound. Now re-issued on limited multi-colour vinyl, remastered by Tore Stjerna of Necromorbus Studio, “Blossom” stands as a testament to a magnificent era of growth and transformation.-> >;

25.08.2025 - Fields of Mildew - IV 9,98 €
-> >;The flickering light of fragile hope battles the crushing weight of despair in Fields of Mildew’s fourth release, “IV”. With its signature minimalist dark folk, the project delves into the innermost recesses of human emotion, offering an unflinching reflection on loss, resilience, and the stark beauty of barren landscapes.-> >;
-> >;
On “IV”, Fields of Mildew shifts its focus inward, exploring the fragmented psyche of a solitary soul caught between the oppressive weight of reality and fleeting moments of imagined relief. Themes of love and loss, fragile dreams, and the slow erosion of hope thread through the album, painting a harrowing yet tender portrait of inner struggle.-> >;
-> >;
Amidst the sorrow, glimmers of solace emerge as the music itself offers moments of reprieve. Immersive melodies are shaped by the same austere minimalism that defines the project’s essence – from its stripped-down instrumentation to its visual aesthetic, inspired by the desolate Teufelsmoor region of Northern Germany.-> >;
-> >;
Since its inception in 2015, Fields of Mildew has stood as a testament to the human spirit pushed to its limits. Helmed by a musician known only as R, the project began as an ode to the resilient souls who eked out a living in the unforgiving lands of the Teufelsmoor. Over time, its thematic scope expanded, but the core remained unchanged: an unflinching portrayal of human existence in its most vulnerable and honest form.-> >;
-> >;
“IV” is the culmination of this evolution – a quiet yet powerful meditation on despair, resilience, and the fleeting beauty found even in life’s harshest moments. For those seeking music that channels the depth of mortal experience with haunting clarity, “IV” is a profoundly moving journey into darkness and beyond.

25.08.2025 - Örnatorpet - Midvintersagor ab 9,98 €
-> >;A forgotten tale, long buried beneath the snows of time, is about to be retold. “Midvintersagor” (‘Midwinter Sagas’) is the first music ever composed by Örnatorpet, a landmark in both personal and artistic discovery. Originally self-released in a small cassette run, this unaltered reissue allows listeners to experience the album exactly as it was conceived – pure, unrefined, and brimming with the wonder of creation.-> >;
-> >;
At its core, “Midvintersagor” is a soundtrack to an unwritten legend. Each track weaves a narrative steeped in medieval fantasy, channelling the essence of forgotten folklore and the grandeur of winter’s stillness. Inspired by the interludes and atmospheric passages of 90s black metal, Örnatorpet sought to craft an instrumental world as evocative as the landscapes of his native Sweden.-> >;
-> >;
Since its inception in 2018, Örnatorpet has become one of the foremost torchbearers of dungeon synth. With no formal musical training, he followed only instinct and inspiration, carving out a path that has since led him to the forefront of the genre. “Midvintersagor” is where that journey began – an unpolished gem gleaming with the spirit of discovery, now unearthed for a new audience to behold.-> >;

25.08.2025 - Nechochwen - spelewithiipi ab 9,98 €
-> >;For over a decade, Nechochwen has bridged the gap between history and mythology, folklore and personal journey. With “spelewithiipi”, the West Virginian duo returns to their earliest roots – trading the weight of distortion for the delicate power of dark folk.-> >;
-> >;
“spelewithiipi” is the sound of rivers that remember, of trails worn by centuries of footsteps, of stories whispered through leaves and stone. Nechochwen weaves rich acoustic instrumentation with an immersive sense of place, crafting melodies steeped in the Eastern Woodlands’ indigenous past. Echoes of Nest, Tenhi, and October Falls resonate throughout, but the heart of the album belongs to the Ohio River Valley – the spelewithiipi, the Big Turkey River – its wild beauty flowing through every note.-> >;
-> >;
This is an album of patience and reverence, composed slowly over eleven years, gathering shape and meaning. It is a tribute to forgotten pathways and the wisdom they carry. From the spectral visions of “othaškwa’alowethi behme” to the contemplative stillness of “Precipice of Stone”, each piece is a portal – to memory, to mystery, to the primordial pulse of the land itself.-> >;

25.08.2025 - Nechochwen - Kanawha Black 9,98 €
-> >;Nechochwen is an artistic force dedicated to preserving the past through sound. With “Kanawha Black”, the West Virginia duo delves deeper into the folklore, war, and generational wisdom of Appalachia, transforming history into music that is both urgent and timeless. This is an album shaped by the land itself – its rivers and ridgelines, its battles and buried secrets, its ghosts and forgotten voices.-> >;
-> >;
Melding intricate folk passages with the might of black metal, “Kanawha Black” is a work of contrasts: the tangible and the spectral, history and legend, past and present. The doomed last stand of Chief Cornstalk in “I Can Die But Once” and the ancestral scars of “Generations of War” stand alongside the mythic – the great horned serpent of “The Murky Deep”, the strange omens of “Visions, Dreams, and Signs”, and the meditative “A Cure for the Winter Plagues”, a tribute to nature’s quiet resilience. The further one listens, the more the lines blur, until history and folklore become one.-> >;
-> >;
More than an album, “Kanawha Black” is a testament to the unbroken lineage of Appalachian customs and indigenous tradition. With this reissue through Nordvis – now available on CD for the first time – its themes remain as vital as ever, offering new listeners a chance to step into Nechochwen’s world.-> >;
-> >;
This edition also includes two bonus tracks: “Eastern Hemlock Medicine Song”, appearing on physical format for the first time, and “Across the Divide (Acoustic Version)”, making its debut release.

25.08.2025 - Sielue - Askel tyhjyyteen 12,00 €
-> >;In the secluded wilderness of northeastern Finland, a solitary journey has taken shape. Sielue, the latest endeavour of multi-instrumentalist Janne Posti (Häxkapell, Sons of Crom), marks a profound return to his musical roots, as he steps beyond his metal and classical foundations to explore the realm of dark acoustic folk.-> >;
-> >;
“Askel tyhjyyteen” (‘A Step Into Emptiness’) is a collection of diverse songs woven together by themes of life and death. Drawing on his classical training in piano, vocals, composition, and arrangement, Janne crafts intricate melodies where acoustic guitar and piano take centre stage.-> >;
-> >;
The album captures the desolation and solitude of the wilderness surrounding Posti’s family cabin, embodying autumn winds, dense fog, and the haunting resonance of a freezing lake – the ‘singing ice’ recorded shortly after his initial writing session on All Hallow’s Eve in 2022. Song structures range from traditional verse-chorus formats to linear compositions, reflecting Janne’s eclectic musical background across metal, rock, pop, jazz, folk, and classical genres.-> >;
-> >;
“Askel tyhjyyteen” is more than an album; it is a personal testament and a spiritual journey. It invites listeners to embrace the longing for another plane of existence and the beauty found in the acceptance of mortality. In stepping into emptiness, Sielue embarks on a journey that doesn’t end at the grave but begins there – into the winds of the cosmos, guided by swans through a portal to a place of peace and fulfilment.-> >;

25.08.2025 - Thomas von Wachenfeldt - Estradörerna ab 12,00 €
-> >;With “Estradörerna”, Thomas von Wachenfeldt continues his lifelong mission to revitalise Sweden’s folk heritage. The album features music by three of Sweden’s most renowned and accomplished folk musicians – Jon-Erik Öst, Wiktor Öst, and Jon-Erik Hall – arranged for string trio. By reimagining these traditional melodies through the lens of chamber instrumentation, Wachenfeldt reveals an expressive depth that resonates across generations.-> >;
-> >;
Rooted in tradition yet reinterpreted with precision, “Estradörerna” transforms old melodies into something both timeless and immediate. Wachenfeldt distils the essence of Sweden’s folk music – its longing, metaphysical qualities, and quiet introspection – into finely crafted compositions where every note carries the weight of centuries. Through the fusion of folk sensibility and chamber refinement, he captures not only the rhythms, joys, and sorrow of polskas, waltzes, and marches, but the very spirit of the time and space that shaped them.-> >;
-> >;
A musician, researcher, and teacher, Wachenfeldt has dedicated his life to preserving and expanding Sweden’s musical traditions. From arranging Entombed’s “Clandestine” for symphony orchestra to his work in both traditional folk and extreme metal, his artistry defies categorisation. “Estradörerna” stands as a testament to his deep reverence for Sweden’s folk legacy – honouring the melodies of past masters with scholarly precision and emotive depth.

16.07.2025 - Grift - Arvet ab 12,00 €
-> >;"Arvet"" (“The Heritage”) continues where ""Syner"" left off. Once again, Erik Gärdefors tackles the big endless questions that sensitive people have always struggled with and tried to express. From the small and seemingly insignificant sparks residing in all of mankind to that which pulsates and becomes meaningful; something beyond the meadows and the forests.-> >;
-> >;
We can never escape the heritage we carry within us. An inheritance is something that characterises every individual in ways which are often paradoxical - be it social, biological, or religious. With “Arvet”, Grift seeks to illuminate the perpetual journey from the small safe place in each man’s heart to the great unforeseen life. We often believe that everything will take shape from scratch into something unique. But, sooner or later, we understand our vulnerabilities and fall back on what we inherited back in the innocence of childhood.-> >;
-> >;
The album was written and recorded by Erik in his studio, Eremitaget Liesmia. In addition to the usual instrumentation, Erik also included the psalmodicon – an old Swedish instrument which was mostly used in poor congregations during the 19th century. Furthermore, Erik has recorded plenty of nature sounds from the forests around where he lives. The howling of tawny owls, the scream of a fox, and so forth help build up the right kind of atmosphere. Three guests contribute with their characteristic voices: Ludvig from Forndom, Inkantator Koura from Mosaic, and Elea from Noêta and Undantagsfolk. To illustrate the concept behind the song “Den stora tystnaden” (""The Great Silence"") a music video was filmed. The video follows the same red thread that runs through Grift’s earlier music video, “Svältorna”, which was produced in 2015.
