German synth pop trio BEBORN BETON drop their new digital only EP “Stars [Remixed]”

BEBORN BETON return with the EP “Stars [Remixed]” that offers imaginative reinterpretations of select tracks taken from the acclaimed releases “To the Stars” and “A Worthy Compensation”. The German synth pop trio has collaborated with a host of international remix artists, which are each bringing their unique sonic perspective to BEBORN BETON‘s rich musical tapestry.

BEBORN BETON are building upon the narrative that they established with ‘To the Stars’. In their concept, humanity seeks new horizons after ruining Earth. “Stars [Remixed]” explores the idea of alternative dimensions and timelines. Through this lens, familiar tracks are reborn to reflect the diverse realities encountered in the band’s expansive universe.

For this project, BEBORN BETON enlisted AGENT SIDE GRINDER from Sweden to infuse ‘American Girls’ with their signature synth-driven energy. The German contribution from ROTOSKOP delivers three distinct remixes, which are each named after US American states and present fresh takes on ‘Progeny’ and ‘Daisy Cutter’. A STATE OF FLUXfrom the UK provide their dynamic reinterpretation of ‘American Girls’, and last but never least Israeli musician OREN AMRAM transforms ‘Anorexic World’ into a pulsating club anthem.

The original EP “To the Stars”, BEBORN BETON followed directly in the wake of their ninth album “Darkness Falls Again”. Three new tracks and four remixes were widening the musical range of the album, while still staying true to its spirit both in lyrical content and music.

BEBORN BETON were founded by vocalist Stefan Netschio, keyboard player and drummer Stefan Tillmann, and keyboard player Michael Wagner in 1989. The trio set out with the declared aim to keep synth pop relevant and give it meaning. Their first signs of life were three self-released works, ‘Pyre’ (1989), ‘Scythe’ (1991, and ‘Die Stahlbetontour’ (1992) that came out on tape.

Following their first two regular albums “Tybalt” (1993) and “Concrete Ground” (1994), BEBORN BETON found a label-home where they joined renowned acts such as WOLFSHEIM and DE/VISION. Having conquered home, the three electro-musicians rapidly expanded abroad and the 1996 full-length “Nightfall”, followed by “Truth” in 1997, and “Fake” (1999) gained the Germans strong acclaim by critics and fans around the globe.

By the time, “Rückkehr zum Eisplaneten” (‘Return to the Ice-Planet’) was released in 2000, BEBORN BETON had firmly positioned themselves as a headlining act within their scene and toured in all the strongholds of electronic music such as Canada and the US, the Netherlands, Norway and Sweden, Switzerland, Poland, and even Russia among other places. In the North of America, the Germans had scored a veritable club hit with the track ‘Another World’ in 1997. Across the Atlantic, the track’s ever-growing popularity finally led to the exclusive US release of a best-of double-album entitled “Tales from Another World” in 2002, which was followed by extensive touring in North America with APOPTYGMA BERZERK in the same year.

Yet the heavy touring and the creatively highly demanding output of so many excellent albums in quick succession started to take its toll. After the release of “Tales from Another World” (2002) and the associated touring, BEBORN BETON went on an extended hiatus.

It took 13 long years, until BEBORN BETON returned to the delight and surprise of their still huge following with a new album on Dependent Recordings. “A Worthy Compensation” (2015) was showered with accolades from the relevant magazines such as an “album tip of the month” in German Sonic Seducer and Orkus Magazine called the record an “undisputed masterpiece”.

Having learned from previous experiences and not to fall back into a relentless production cycle, BEBORN BETON took their time to write another masterpiece. “Darkness Falls Again” has all the ingredients that make synth pop great. Catchy songs that make the legs twitch, a dash of melancholy, a pinch of irony, and a knife-tip of anger.

BEBORN BETON have again delivered music with a meaning with their latest album and this continues full steam ahead on the “To the Stars” EP. Welcome back again, BEBORN BETON!

Building upon their enthralling fusion of dark Italo-disco and emotive synth-pop, complemented by spirited freestyle elements, the band has gracefully evolved, seamlessly weaving in sleek dance-pop nuances from the early 90s, all while preserving an elegantly retro sound.

Their latest single, Dream On, bursts forth with bouncy rhythms and a sparkling chorus, nodding affectionately to the glossy dance-pop charm of Madonna’s iconic 80s and 2000s output, as well as the energetic dancefloor appeal of early-90s Eurodance classics from artist’s like the Real McCoy and Culture Beat’s via their unforgettable “Mr. Vain.”

Crowley’s luminous vocals effortlessly weave through the track’s lush synth layers, fluidly navigating the delicate terrain between pop optimism and nuanced emotional vulnerability. Set in a stylish, warmly lit loft with exposed brick walls, large windows showcasing city views, and lush houseplants scattered throughout, Nuovo Testamento’s video for “Dream On” creates an inviting and slightly whimsical atmosphere. The Los Angeles-based trio, including two members originally from Italy, comfortably inhabits a charming space filled with eclectic vintage furniture and thoughtfully quirky decor. LORD OF THE LOST schlagen ein neues Kapitel auf: „Opvs Noir Vol. 1“ ist nicht nur der Titel des kommenden Werks, sondern zugleich der Auftakt einer Albentrilogie. Jede der drei Platten enthält elf Stücke, die auch die schönen Seiten der Dunkelheit erforschen wollen, wie Frontmann Chris Harms erklärt:

„Dunkelheit, Melancholie, Einsamkeit – alles Worte, die oft negativ besetzt sind, die wir mit Gefahr, Traurigkeit und Verlust assoziieren, und das nicht ohne Grund. Aber Dunkelheit kann auch Geborgenheit sein, Melancholie das warme und sentimentale Gefühl unserer Erinnerungen, und Einsamkeit wird zu notwendiger Stille, Frieden und innerer Einkehr. OPVS NOIR ist ein Reiseführer, oder vielleicht auch ein Reisebericht, durch die dunklen Seiten unserer inneren Welt, die sich so oft genau im Spannungsfeld zwischen dem bewegen, was wir emotional als positiv oder negativ einstufen. Und mit Vol. 1 ist das alles erst der Anfang dieser dreiteiligen Reise…“

„Opvs Noir Vol. 1“ erscheint am 8. August 2025 via Napalm Records auf CD, Vinyl, Kassette, digital sowie in einer Reihe von limitierten Sonderausgaben.

Nun haben LOTL mit „Ghosts“ ein weiteres Video veröffentlicht. Am Song wirkt außerdem Cellistin Tina Guo mit.

Die erste Single „My Sanctuary“ teilte die Band im März, anschließend folgte der Clip „I Will DIe In It“.

„Darkness Invisible“ spielte die Band in Eigenregie im Ansa Studio (Ulvila, Finnland) ein. Gemischt von Jens Bogren und gemastert von Tony Lindgren wurde die Scheibe in den Fascination Street Studios in Örebro. Alvaro Valverde Fernandez übernahm der Gestaltung von Artwork und Layout.

ROYAL SORROW haben im Herbst 2024 einen Vertrag mit InsideOut Music abgeschlossen. Mit dem neuen Label im Rücken war es auch Zeit, die komplette Band umzukrempeln:

„Als wir bei InsideOutMusic unterschrieben, war das auch der Beginn einer neuen Ära. Obwohl wir uns schon seit unserer Kindheit kennen, war es an der Zeit, alles, was wir kannten, neu zu gestalten: den Look, die Optik und die Musik selbst. Wir begannen, mit neuer Entschlossenheit Material zu schreiben. Es waren viele Runden und Sessions nötig, bis die Stücke an ihren Platz fielen. Die Melodic Death Metal-Band UPON STONE meldet sich nach ihrem Debütalbum „Dead Mother Moon“ (2024) mit einer neuen EP zurück. „End Time Lightning“ umfasst drei Songs, ein Video zu „Fury My Master“ ist bei YouTube zu sehen.

Für die Produktion der Tracks zeichnen die US-Amerikaner in Zusammenarbeit mit Andrew Solis verantwortlich, den Mix übernahm Dan Swanö.

„Wenn ich nicht mit der Band unterwegs bin, streame ich meist auf Twitch und spiele League Of Legends – da findet man mich meistens in der Kluft. Als die Serie Arcane rauskam, waren wir komplett begeistert. Die ganze Welt, vor allem die Ästhetik und die Atmosphäre der Undercity, haben mich fasziniert. Am 27. Juni 2025 veröffentlichten DURRY ihr neues Album „This Movie Sucks“ via Big Pip Records / Thirty Tigers. Zum Release gab es mit „Bully“ einen weiteren Clip zur Platte.

Einen Vorgeschmack lieferte das Indie Rock-Duo außerdem mit dem Video „More Dumb“ bei YouTube. Dort ist darüber hinaus der Clip „Idk I Just Work Here“ zu sehen. Der Song folgt dem Musikvideo zum Titelstück bei YouTube nach.

Produziert wurde das Zweitwerk von Phil Odom. Die Aufnahmen in einem regulären Studio bezeichnet Austin Durry als „wahr gewordener Traum“ und führt aus:

„Wir haben immer in Kellern und Heimstudios aufgenommen, wann immer wir Zeit und Geld dafür fanden. Aber für dieses Album konnten wir endlich in ein großes Studio gehen, mit einem fertigen Werk in der Hand, und einfach ein ganzes Album aufnehmen. Es fühlte sich so gut an, und ich denke, das kommt in diesen Songs wirklich zum Ausdruck.“

Die erste Platte unter neuer Flagge trägt den Titel „Haus Of The Rising Fun“ und wird voraussichtlich am 9. Januar 2026 erscheinen. Einen Vorgeschmack auf die Veröffentlichung gibt es nun in Form von „Bussi„.

Die Alternative Rock-Band GOOD FORTUNE hat einen neuen Song geteilt: „Purple Sun“ kann man sich bei YouTube anhören.

Das Stück ist wie der Track „Cannibal“ eine Vorbot des kommenden Albums „Sense Of Time“, das via Time Zone Records erscheinen wird. Ein genauer Termin steht derzeit allerdings noch aus.

Zuletzt veröffentlichten die Gütersloher ihr Debütalbum „Stories Untold“ (2024) – mit „Cannibal“ startete das Quartett 2025 in das nächste Kapitel.

Eine Mischung aus Avantgarde, Doom und elektronischen Beats verspricht THE MOUNTAIN KING: Das Projekt um Multi-Instrumentalist Eric McQueen stellt sein neues Album „Vegetation“ mit zwei Singles vor. „Cold Peace Abundance“ und „Everest Crumbling“ sind via bandcamp zu hören.

Die Platte kommentiert der Bandkopf wie folgt:

„Vegetation ist für mich der Ort, an dem rohe Emotionen auf die wilde Schönheit treffen. Eine Klanglandschaft, die wächst, atmet und mit der Kraft der Musik den Beton unseres Alltags durchbricht. Elektronische Beats und Synthesizer treffen auf Drone-Gitarren und verzerrte Klänge, um einen neuen Sound zu kreieren, der alte Gewohnheiten und Genres obsolet macht. Wir schwimmen durch jene Frequenzen, die uns das Spektrum der Emotionen zeigen und auch andere zu uns einladen.“

Die Alternative Rock-Band TAUSEND ROSEN plant im Zuge der Veröffentlichung ihrer neuen, noch unbetitelten EP eine Reihe von Single-Auskopplungen. Insgesamt sieben Tracks sollen es am Ende werden, den zweiten davon „Breezy Johnson“ gibt es inklusive eines Features von Julia Kautz vorab als Audiostream.

Die vorherige Auskopplung „Von Wien bis übern Jordan“ steht ebenfalls als Audio-Stream bei YouTube oder allen gängigen Streaming-Plattformen bereit.

Weitere Details zur Platte sollen bald folgen. Eine Release-Show hat die Gruppe für 11. Oktober 2025 im Chelsea in Wien (A) angekündigt.

Das SUMMER BREEZE findet vom 13. bis 16. August 2025 in Dinkelsbühl statt. Nachdem die Early Bird-Tickets schnell vergriffen waren, stellten die Veranstalter weitere 5.000 Karten zum „Lazy Bird“-Tarif ab 219,99€ zur Verfügung gestellt. Die reguläre Karte kostet mittlerweile 239,99€. Bestellen kann man auf sbtix.de/produkte. Im Preis mit inbegriffen ist das Camping vor Ort, jedoch wird es auch 2025 möglich sein, nach Bedarf zusätzliche Optionen zu buchen: Neben Comfort und Accessible Camping, gibt es reservierte Flächen für Gruppen, ausgewiesene Parzellen für Fahrzeuge über 3,5 Tonnen sowie ruhige Bereiche ohne Aggregate. Die Buchung dieser Sonderwünsche ist seit 27. März 2025 (16:00 Uhr) über den Festival-Shop möglich. Eine Übersicht stellt das SUMMER BREEZE auf der eigenen Website bereit.

Wer das Festival nur an einzelnen Tagen besuchen möchte, findet im Shop darüber hinaus Tagestickets zum Preis von 89,99€. Eine Sonderaktion gibt es hierbei für jüngere Metal-Fans: Unter dem Motto “New Blood” können sich alle Jahrgänge 2006 und jünger für den Donnerstag (15.08.2024) um einen limitierten Platz auf der Nachwuchs-Gästeliste bewerben – mit etwas Glück erhält man dann für diesen Tag freien Eintritt auf das Festival.

Kurzfristig mussten die Veranstalter das Billing nochmals umkrempeln: Sowohl COUNTERPARTS als auch SAXON mussten ihre Teilnahme aus gesundheitlichen Gründen absagen. Dafür spielen BEAST IN BLACK und BREAKDOWN OF SANITY auf dem Open Air.

Zudem ist das Line-up für das Jahr 2025 vollständig. Mehr als 120 Bands werden auf dem SUMMER BREEZE 2024 zwischen 13. und 17. August 2024 auftreten. Um den erwarteten 40.000 Besuchern ein ausgewogenes Programm zu bieten, findet das musikalische Programm erneut auf insgesamt vier Bühnen statt. Neben der Main Stage gibt es die kleinere T-Stage, die Wera Tool Rebel Stage sowie den Campsite Circus.

Die Geländepläne sowohl des Konzertgeländes als auch des Gesamtareals mit Campingplatz stehen über die offizielle Festival-Website zum Download bereit. Dort findet man auch einen Download-Link zur offiziellen Festival-App, die ebenfalls alle wichtigen Informationen enthält.

Die Anreise nach Dinkelsbühl

Für die Anfahrt mit dem Auto empfehlen die Veranstalter die folgende Adresse als Navigationshilfe: Illenschwang, 91749 Wittelshofen (Link zu Google Maps). Aufgrund von Bauarbeiten weisen die Veranstalter darauf hin, das Festivalgelände unbedingt über Dinkelsbühl anzusteuern.

Anreisende mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln finden über den Reiseplaner der Deutschen Bahn alle Sonderfahrten direkt zum Festivalgelände. Die Veranstalter empfehlen die Anreise über Ellwangen; weitere Startpunkte nach Dinkelsbühl sind Ansbach, Crailsheim sowie Dombühl. Ab Dinkelsbühl fährt der kostenlose Shuttlebus direkt zum Festivalgelände.

Der Fahrplan des Shuttlebuses mit den wichtigsten Routen folgt zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt.

Nun sind auch alle Informationen zur (Früh-)Anreise bekannt: Im Vergleich zum Vorjahr hat man das System nochmals komplett überarbeitet. Die bisherige Frühanreisegebühr entfällt. Dafür müssen alle Gäste, die mit einem Fahrzeug anreisen, nun vorab einen Anreiseslot buchen (Montag bis Samstag). Die Kosten werden pro Fahrzeug berechnet und richten sich nach dem Anreisetag:

Buchen kann man seinen Slot ab 27. Mai 2025 (17:30 Uhr) über den offiziellen Festival-Shop. Die Veranstalter stellen genügend Slots in Aussicht, um es allen nach Wunsch zu ermöglichen, rechtzeitig zum offiziellen Festivalbeginn am Mittwoch auf dem Gelände zu sein,.

 

Die Anreise ist dann innerhalb des gebuchten Slots möglich – Besucher:innen werden gebeten, einen entsprechenden zeitlichen Puffer einzuplanen, um innerhalb des Zeitfenster in Dinkeslbühl anzukommen. Camping auf dem SUMMER BREEZE 2025

Wie beim SUMMER BREEZE üblich, ist Camping auf dem Campingplatz im Ticketpreis inbegriffen. Auf dem Gelände zugelassen sind jedoch nur Fahrzeuge bis 3,5 Tonnen, für die ein Parkticket gelöst werden muss (Preis 2024: 20,-€). Fahrzeuge, die mehr als 3,5t wiegen, können auf dem kostenpflichtigen Tagesparkplatz abgestellt werden. Der Tagesparkplatz ist täglich ab 9 Uhr geöffnet. Darüber hinaus gibt es einen separaten Campingbereich für Wohnmobile (auch über 3,5t). Für Anhänger ist ebenfalls ein separates Parkticket nötig.

Wie in den vergangenen Jahren herrscht auf dem Camping-Gelände Glasverbot. Ausgenommen hiervon sind Medikamente, Parfums und Wasserpfeifen. Offene Feuer sind ebenfalls untersagt. Nicht unter dieses Verbot fallen Gaskocher (erlaubt sind Gasflaschen bis 11kg) und Holzkohlegrills. Voraussetzung ist jedoch stets das Betreiben auf einer feuerfesten Unterlage.

Um der Müllsituation Herr zu werden, werden an die Besucher erneut Müllsäcke ausgegeben, weitere Beutel sind bei Bedarf voraussichtlich an den “Shit’n’Shower”-Stationen erhältlich, wo man zudem an eingerichteten Müllstationen seinen Abfall entsorgen kann (getrennt nach Restmüll, Papier und gelbem Sack).

Nachtruhe auf dem Camping-Gelände herrscht ab 1 Uhr. Ab diesem Zeitpunkt sollten Stromaggregate abgeschaltet und laute Musikbeschallung vermieden werden. In den blauen und grünen Camping-Arealen wird die Nachtruhe strikt eingehalten.

Für das Jahr 2025 sind noch wenige reservierbare Campingflächen verfügbar. Ebenfalls noch buchbar sind einige Comfort-Optionen (Stand: 24.04.2025). Über die offizielle Homepage ist es zudem weiterhin möglich, mobile Ladestationen, Kühlboxen und Dosenbier zu bestellen / mieten.

Neben den kostenfreien Mobiltoiletten finden sich auf dem Gelände zudem mehrere “Shit’n’Shower”-Stationen. Die Nutzung der dortigen Spültoiletten kostete in den vergangenen Jahren 1,-€, die der Dusche schlug mit 2,50€ zu Buche. Eine Flatrate für voraussichtlich 15,-€ (Vorjahrespreis) kann man ebenfalls vor Ort oder vorab digital abschließen.

Rahmenprogramm, Busshuttle und Freizeitaktivitäten

Auf dem SUMMER BREEZE 2025 ist abseits der Bühnen selbstverständlich wieder einiges geboten. Wie gehabt organisieren die Kollegen von Metal.de an ihrem Stand Autogrammstunden mit verschiedensten Bands des Festivals. Die genauen Zeitpläne werden vorab online und vor Ort verfügbar sein.

Essen und Trinken kann man selbstverständlich an einem der zahlreichen Stände auf dem Konzertgelände. Zahlreiche vegane und vegetarische Optionen werden ebenfalls verfügbar sein. Wer auf dem Konzertgelände nicht fündig wird, kann sein Glück in den Festival-Supermärkten versuchen. Dort kann vorbestelltes Bier zudem bis 01:30 Uhr abgeholt werden. Öffnungszeiten Supermarkt:

Am Ende eines schweißtreibenden Festivaltages kann man sich an einem der zwei großen Merchandise-Stände einkleiden. Dort gibt es sowohl aktuelles Festival- als auch Bandmerch zu kaufen.

Mittlerweile auch feste Institution ist das rund um die Uhr besetzte Awareness-Zelt.

Wer einen Ausflug ins nahegelegene Dinkelsbühl plant, kann eines der kostenlosen Busshuttles nutzen. Diese pendeln ganztägig zwischen dem Festivalgelände und der Ortschaft, die genauen Fahrzeiten folgen.

In Dinkelsbühl gibt es zahlreiche Kneipen, Restaurants und Cafés. Auch der Besuch des Hallenbads oder des Wörnitzstrandbads ist möglich.

Zudem bietet das SUMMER BREEZE 2025 auf dem Campsite Circus ein umfassendes Rahmenprogramm an. Neben dem etablierten Metal Yoga gibt es 2025 auch ein Metal Workout, eine Artwork-Ausstellung, Discobetrieb sowie ein Harsh Vocals-Workshop mit HIRAES-Sängerin Britt Görtz.

Im Februar haben die Organisatoren mit 26 Neubestätigungen das Programm der drei Hauptbühnen komplettiert. Im Dezember 2024 legte das Festival mit weiteren Neubestätigungen nach. Mit dabei sind WARDRUNA, DIE APOKALYPTISCHEN REITER, SÓLSTAFIR, AGNOSTIC FRONT, BORKNAGAR, COLDRAIN, SUFFOCATION, HARAKIRI FOR THE SKY, WARMEN, KUPFERGOLD, CRYSTAL LAKE, HELLRIPPER und BAEST.

Im November 2024 erweiterte eine zweite Bandwelle das Line-up des Open Airs um 30 weitere Acts. SIENA ROOT haben eine Live-Platte aufgenommen: „Made In KuBa“ ist ein Doppelalbum, das am 3. Oktober 2025 via Perception auf CD, Vinyl sowie digital erscheinen wird. Mitgeschnitten wurden dafür im März 2024 drei Shows im Kulturbahnhof in Jena. Einen Höreindruck verschafft der Track „Wishing For More„.

„Made In KuBa“ wurde in halber Geschwindigkeit gemastert, wie die Schweden erläutern:

„Halfspeed-Mastering ist ein klassisches Verfahren, das Vinylfans besonders zu schätzen wissen. Es ist ebenjenes sensible, hochkomplexe Verfahren, das ‚Made in KuBa‘ zu einem rundum gelungenen Hörerlebnis macht – für euch, aber natürlich auch für uns!“

Im Oktober folgt dann eine Europatournee.
