Tickets gibt es im Vorverkauf für 84,90€ zzgl. Gebühren über die offizielle Festival-Website. Tagestickets schlagen mit je 54,90€ zzgl. Gebühren zu Buche.

Nun haben die Veranstalter nochmals nachgelegt und mit SAMURAI PIZZA CATS sowie STAIN THE CANVAS zwei weitere Acts bekannt gegeben.

Eine zweite Bandwelle hat außerdem J.B.O., INFECTED RAIN, BUTCHER BABIES sowie STEPFATHER FRED für das Event enthüllt. Dagegen mussten CYPECORE ihre Teilnahme leider absagen.

Vancouver Island’s Avro steps into the flickering light of obsession with Psychopathé, a song that trembles on the edge between desire and danger. Out October 17th via Warranty:Void Records, the single feels like the blush of attraction seen through the red filter of a fevered mind. It sways between invitation and warning, between the romance of illusion and the menace of knowing it can’t last.

Driven by subterranean basslines and spectral synths, Psychopathé unfolds with the poise of an old European film, its glamour tinged with unease. A voice, close and distant at once, murmurs commands to dance, to surrender, to believe that “it’s only fantasy.” But the listener suspects otherwise. There’s a ghost behind the glass, directing every movement with a lover’s precision and a puppeteer’s control.

Avro’s lineage runs deep through the veins of synthpop and cold wave, yet it also nods toward the decadent pulse of disco’s nocturnal side. Echoes of Human League, Depeche Mode, Thompson Twins, Eurythmics, and even Cerrone can be heard whispering through Psychopathé, each influence refracted through Percy’s own strange alchemy. There’s a sense of movement through time: the shimmer of ’80s futurism, the sigh of post-punk detachment, the glittering menace of Giallo’s erotic grandeur.

The accompanying video deepens the illusion. Drenched in colour and unnervingly deliberate, it feels like a hallucination, or perhaps an autopsy of one. Slow motion gestures, underwater sequences, and expressionist angles suggest a director guiding his muse from some unlit room beyond the reel. It’s both intimate and estranged, a cinema of control and surrender.

“I’ve been a long-time fan of Giallo films – the intense colours, the shadows and contrast, and the surreal mashup of sex and danger,” explains Avro mastermind Adam Percy. “They’re a dark but modern fantasy. It’s easy to get lost in images and miss what’s happening around you; that’s part of the terror and the joy. I was definitely channeling this idea while writing this song.” That influence is everywhere: in the way the melody gleams like wet paint, in the way each beat feels framed by chiaroscuro. The track could score a scene of satin curtains closing on a secret no one will confess.

Avro’s history hums beneath the surface. Since 2016’s Anatomy Act EP and the duo album Futuretroactivism in 2022, Percy has blended synth-pop elegance with the introspective chill of cold wave. The new work distills these influences into something sleeker, more fevered; a mirror polished by solitude.

Touring across Canada and remixing for Bif Naked, Avro has kept the flame alive through festivals and late nights in studio exile. With the Psychopathé EP arriving January 16, 2026, Percy stands poised between decadence and discipline. In his world, fantasy is both the narcotic and the cure. The music asks for nothing but belief…and perhaps a final dance beneath the velvet curtain.

CORONER stellen einen weiteren Track ihres neuen Albums „Dissonance Theory“ vor und zeigen ein Lyric-Video zu „Consequence„:

Reinhören ist auch in „Symmetry“ möglich. Im August hatte das Trio den ersten neuen Song seit gut 30 Jahren veröffentlicht, auch zu „Renewal“ gibt es auch einen Videoclip:

Beide Songs auf dem neuen Album „Dissonance Theory“ zu hören, es wurde am 17. Oktober 2025 via Century Media veröffentlicht.

Gitarrist, Songwriter und Produzent Tommy Vetterli kommentiert die neue Musik der Band:

„Ich habe viel darüber nachgedacht, wie Coroner heute klingen sollte, aber mir wurde schnell klar, dass ein Blick zurück uns nicht weiterbringt. Natürlich entwickelt man im Laufe der Zeit als Musiker eine bestimmte Handschrift. Auch wenn das Material neu ist, kann es sich wie eine Brücke zu früheren Phasen anfühlen – einfach, weil es von mir stammt. Wir wollten aber kein Vermächtnis fortführen, sondern etwas Ehrliches schaffen, das im Hier und Jetzt verwurzelt ist. ‘Renewal’ eröffnet nun das Kapitel für das erste Coroner-Album, mit dem ich von Anfang bis Ende vollkommen zufrieden bin. Die Musik soll für sich sprechen – ihr werdet merken, ob sie euch anspricht.“

„Dissonance Theory“ umfasst 10 neue Songs und hat eine Spielzeit von 47 Minuten. Aufgenommen wurde das Album von Tommy Vetterli in den New Sound Studios in der Schweiz, gemischt und gemastert von Jens Bogren in den Fascination Street Studios in Schweden.  Das Artwork stammt von Stefan Thanneur.

In dem neuen Album steht jahrelange Arbeit: 2020 hatte das Trio via facebook angekündigt, in diesem Jahr ein neues Album aufzunehmen. Schon im Sommer 2016  hatten Gitarrist Tommy Vetterli, Drummer Diego Rapacchietti und Bassist/Sänger Ron Broder bekannt gegeben, dass sie an Songs für ein siebtes Studioalbum arbeiten.

Das letzte Studioalbum von CORONER erschient 1993 mit „Grin“, 2016 veröffentlichte die Tech Thrash Metal-Band Band das DVD/LP-Set „Autopsy“ mit einer Band-Doku, Livemitschnitten, einer Best-of-Auswahl an Songs sowie Interviews.

Hinter dem Namen KING ULTRAMEGA verbirgt sich ein besonderes Projekt: Die Supergroup möchte mit ihren Aktivitäten die mentale Gesundheit sowie deren Wohlbefinden in den Fokus rücken. Hierzu arbeitet das Kollektiv mit Reigning Phoenix Music und MusiCares zusammen.

Die neue Single „Say Hello 2 Heaven“ mit Gitarrist Richie Kotzen gibt es als Clip zu sehen.

Die Heavy Stoner Rock-Band FRIENDSHIP COMMANDERS hat mit „Drain“ einen Video-Clip ihres neuen Albums „Bear“ veröffentlicht. Es ist das vierte Album der US-Amerikaner aus Nashville und wurde erneut von Kurt Ballou produziert. Release-Termin war der 10. Oktober 2025 via Magnetic Eye Records.

Vorab hatte das Duo einige weitere Singles veröffentlicht. In „Keeping Score“ setzt sich Songwriterin Buick Audra mit Zyklen von Frauen auseinander, die Mädchen verletzen, weil sie sich in ihrer Existenz bedroht fühlen, etwas, das sie selbst erlebt hat. Außerdem gibt es „FOUND“ sowie „X“ vorab zu hören.

„Melt“ thematisiert die Einsamkeit und Verwirrung, die damit einhergeht, dass man als Erwachsener von Mitgliedern des eigenen Geschlechts zurückgewiesen wird.

What good’s a house when you’re in debt on your room?
Clutching straws in hopes economies boom.

In No Chance, Lachlan P. Rother, operating under the moniker Ohms, channels a quiet, surgical rage – rather than shouting into the void, this song is a carefully measured diagnosis of the void itself. Here, the Melbourne-based songwriter, known for his work in U-Bahn, GLASNOST, and High Control Group, dissects the economics of despair with the precision of an engineer and the fatalism of a poet.

No Chance’s structure feels like a report written from within the machinery it critiques. Its jagged rhythm and icy synths conjure the sterile hum of screens and fluorescent offices. Guitar lines move like stock tickers, nervous, angular, and exacting; while a Motorik pulse simulates the repetitive cadence of the commute and the clock. It’s gothic not in aesthetic indulgence, but in its architecture: the beauty of decay rendered in mechanical order.

Rother’s lyrics evoke the spiritual exhaustion of youth consigned to a system designed to extract, not sustain. His verses catalogue the rituals of scarcity: rent, debt, the hollow incentive of “opportunity,” with the dry authority of an audit. Yet there’s a strange tenderness beneath the cynicism, however, as if the act of articulation itself is a small rebellion. The recurring image of the “brass ring” becomes more than a metaphor for ambition; it’s a relic of a faith long lost, a carousel turning on an axis of futility.

The track’s pacing mirrors the disjointed rhythm of modern attention: fragments of melody flash by like headlines, half-digested and already forgotten. Then, mid-song, comes a shift…an uncanny bridge that feels like a carnival spinning out of control. The bass wobbles, synths shimmer into discord, and for a moment, the song teeters. It’s a masterstroke of tension, a sonic depiction of a world where economic systems and human nerves fray in parallel.

Mikey Young’s mastering lends the piece a cold, metallic sheen, fitting for a song that thrives in austerity. Channeling Devo, XTC, Sparks, and Heaven 17, Rother pens a document of unease rendered with elegance and restraint: bleak, articulate, and quietly damning.

In a world choking on optimism, No Chance feels refreshingly honest. It doesn’t promise salvation. It merely tells the truth.

Die Industrial Darkwave / Post-Metal-Band YOUR INLAND EMPIRE hat einen Labeldeal bei Season of Mist unterschrieben. Beim französischen Label will die Nachfolge-Band von CROWN, welche drei Alben veröffentlicht hatte, neu durchstarten. Erstes Etappenziel ist das selbstbetitelte Album: „Your Inland Empire“ wurde von Gitarrist David Husser im La Grange Studio aufgenommen und gemixt und von Jaime Gomez Arellano im Orgone Studio gemastert. Release-Termin ist der 14. November 2025. Den zweiten Höreindruck gewährt der Clip „Grinding„.

Mit dem Video-Clip zu „There Is No Me“ gibt es eine weitere Vorab-Single. Der Track entfalte sich als eindringliche Meditation über zerbrochene Identität und spirituelle Besessenheit. Der Text thematisiert Schizophrenie, innere Zerrissenheit und das Verschwinden der Grenzen zwischen dem Selbst und dem Anderen.

The cold touch of monochromatic melancholy meets hypnotic storytelling on A New Way to Hurt — a four-track collaborative EP from London-based producer Metallic Lover and singer-songwriter Claudia Kane, released via her imprint Villainess Records. Mastered by Justin Drake and adorned with artwork by Metallic Lover himself, the record feels like the soundtrack to a lost 80s neo-noir — flickering neon, blurred mascara, and tension that lingers like smoke after the fire.

Emerging from London’s subterranean after-hours, the pair fuse Darkwave and EBM basslines, frosted synth pads, and 80s-indebted melodies into an emotionally volatile landscape where fragility and tension shimmer side by side. Kane’s voice — intimate yet spectral — is the warm pulse within Metallic Lover’s glacial framework, her phrasing both confessional and cinematic. The result is music that sounds as if it were mixed for a midnight screening — suspenseful, sensual, and sharply stylized.

The title track, “A New Way to Hurt,” sets the tone like a cracked mirror catching light. It opens with an icy pulse and staccato synths that flash like steel beneath glass. Danceable yet dangerous, it’s driven by a bassline that throbs beneath cascades of metallic percussion. Kane’s words dismantle shame and outdated rituals, seeking reinvention through emotional demolition. She imagines burning away the past to make space for a different kind of hope — one laced with deceit, desire, and rebirth. Her voice glides between strength and surrender, transforming confession into something ritualistic, as if pain itself could be repurposed into renewal.

The tension deepens with “The Wire,” where the tempo tightens and the walls close in. This slow, chrome-coated burn recalls Ultra and Black Celebration-era Depeche Mode, but sharpened with the industrial sensuality of early ’90s machine pop. Metallic Lover threads precision basslines through cold, percussive strikes that echo like warning bells. Lyrically, Kane traces the threshold between longing and dependence — that precarious moment when connection morphs into confinement. The titular “wire” becomes both tether and trap, feeding the paradox of desire: the closer you hold it, the more it cuts. It’s a song that captures intimacy at its most dangerous — electric, intoxicating, and inescapably human.

The pulse softens and expands on “Wings,” the EP’s emotional apex. Opening with a crisp snare and shimmering synth riff, it unfolds like a noir montage — streetlights flashing across rain-slicked streets. The production swells into a cinematic crescendo of chain-like percussion and ethereal pads. Kane reflects on the illusion of control, realizing that love cannot thrive in captivity. Through the image of tethered wings and unreachable skies, she evokes the ache of letting go, where affection means release rather than possession. Her delivery is tender yet resolute, mirroring the bittersweet truth that freedom and love often coexist uneasily. It’s heartbreak as elegy and liberation alike — a ballad that glows like a cigarette ember in the dark.

Closing the record, “Cross Her Heart” arrives like the final scene of a thriller — all tension and echo. Ominous synth tones and door-like percussive thuds set a suspenseful pace as Kane circles the themes of faith and betrayal. She frames the breaking of trust as a ritual act, invoking vows that cut as deeply as they console. Her delivery carries both menace and mourning, blurring the boundary between devotion and revenge. The production leans into its cinematic menace — ghostly choruses and icy stabs of synth evoke the spirit of Goblin’s giallo scores. The result is a requiem for promises that hurt too much to keep, and too sacred to forget.

Across A New Way to Hurt, Metallic Lover, and Claudia Kane construct a soundworld where vulnerability gleams like steel and melancholy moves with purpose. It’s body music for the disillusioned romantic: darkly sensual, elegantly restrained, and emotionally unflinching.

This is music for the ones still awake at 3 a.m., standing in the half-light between love and disappearance — where pain becomes poetry, and machinery hums like a broken heart still trying to beat.

Kris Baha’s reworking of Fenice by Le Brame operates as both archaeology and prophecy. Beneath the synthetic gleam lies a political grammar: music as coded resistance to conformity, rhythm as revolt against the quiet tyranny of algorithmic life. The remix retrieves the exuberance of Europe’s 1980s industrial underground and welds it to the nervous pulse of early-2000s counter-culture. Its economy is one of friction: pleasure and control, nostalgia and velocity, collapse and renewal.

Le Brame’s original version, itself a bridge between Italy’s post-wave heritage and contemporary dream-pop, bears the marks of a society that once believed in futurism as progress. Baha, stationed in Berlin, the perpetual workshop of mechanized emotion, treats that optimism as material. He folds it into the architecture of the modern club, where light, repetition, and distortion enact both escape and critique. The listener becomes a worker again, caught in the loop but aware of the machine.

This conversation between artists is less collaboration than dialectic. Federico Piegaja (Le Brame) writes from the lineage of Battiato and Litfiba, melodic yet austere; Baha answers from the lineage of DAF, Front 242, and Nine Inch Nails – bodies politic in motion. The exchange maps the continuum of electronic rebellion, from analogue dissent to digital dissent, from the radio to the rave. It hints at the strange persistence of European idealism: even in decline, it dreams of renewal.

That the remix should appear first on Bandcamp is fitting. The platform, a rare enclave of independent distribution, embodies the same tension: commodified art surviving within the framework of late capitalism, while gesturing toward autonomy. In this context, Fenice – “phoenix” in Italian – becomes allegory. Every cycle of cultural control produces its counter-rhythm. Every empire of noise gives rise to a brief song of refusal.

Baha’s version recalls the basement clubs where policy met pulse, and where the future, however faint, was still audible through distortion. If Universi Paralleli was La Brame’s meditation on alternate worlds, this remix is a dispatch from one of them: an imagined Europe where the machines hum in harmony, but no one forgets who built them.

Passend zur Tour, auch gerade in Bremen mit Warm up William Bleak, möchte ich den Lesern nochmal das aktuelle Album von DUCTAPE ans Herz legen und hiermit sehr empfehlen. Denn die 8 Tracks ihrer Post Punk/Dark Wave Veröffentlichung haben es, wie die 2 Platten davor,  wirklich in sich. Davon konnte man sich auch auf der Live Tour überzeugen. Das 3. Album des Goth Wave Duos aus Istanbul – nun aktuell in Ankara beheimatet – das in 2019 gegründet wurde, geht in der gleichen Tradition der bisherigen Alben weiter. Wer also gerne alte 4AD Bands oder Gruppen wie COCTEAU TWINS, SCHONWALD, ältere NEW ORDER, SELOFAN, DRAB MAJESTY, TWIN TRIBES, SYZYGYX, LEBANON HANOVER oder ihre türkischen Kollegen von JAKUZI und SHE PAST AWAY mit 80s Sound hört, sollte auch hier mal ein Ohr riskieren. Die tiefen Basslinien und die perlenden Gitarrenriffs und Texte voller Pathos dominieren seit je her die Klanglandschaften dieses großartigen Projektes. Die zwei Protagonisten CAGLA BORA GÜLERY und FURKAN GÜLERY hatten ihr Debüt, die EP „Little Monsters“, die noch stark im Post Punk verwurzelt war, in 2020 veröffentlicht  und das schöne ist, das hier mit englischen sowie türkischen Texten gerarbeitet wird. Während Corona kam auch bei DUCTAPE alles zum Stillstand und dennoch wurde der Song „Wooden Girl“ präsentiert. Hier geht es um schwere Themen wie häusliche Gewalt und Femizid und in 2021 erschien dann schon das erste Album „Labirent“. Hier sind erste Dark Wave Anleihen erkennbar. Zudem sind hier erstmals auch türkische Texte mit dabei, das ergibt sich laut CAGLA, wie sich bei ihr der grad entworfene Song anfühlt und welche Textzeile ihr zuerst einfällt. Im Mai desselben Jahres wurde „Live at Radyo Modyan“ veröffentlicht, das bei einer Radiosession aufgenommen wurde. Und im Herbst 2021 erschien die Remix EP „Araf“ – das dass türkische Wort für -Fegefeuer- darstellt. Anfang 2022 kam dann das 2. Album „Ruh“ , was wiederum übersetzt -Innerer Geist- heißt und das dann schon sehr stark in Richtung Cold Wave durchgestartet ist. Und vor Erscheinen der nun 3ten Platte, hatten DUCTAPE sogar noch ein Covertrack veröffentlicht und zwar „Marian“ von THE SISTERS OF MERCY, was ja auch ein Qualitätsmerkmal des Duos ist. Der Opener und die erste Single sowie Kinosoundtrack von „Echo Drama“, das Lied  „Red Star“ ist ein eingängier Classic Wave Track mit ausdrucksstarken, emotional gefärbten Gesang von CAGLA, wie es eigentlich in jedem Song gesanglich von ihr umgesetzt wird und hier geht es um den täglich, emotionalen Kontrast zwischen Glück und Traurigkeit. „Blue Black“ ist ein lupenreiner elegischer Dark Wave Song in Perfektion und auch „Veil of Lies“ – wo es um Lügen und Täuschungen geht – ist ein genial treibendes, tanzbares  Synth Pop-Stück mit einem catchy Ohrwurm Refrain…könnte auch im Radio laufen. Überhaupt zeichnen sich alle Songs vom Album durch diese unwiederstehliche, intensive Gothic-Atmosphäre aus, also eine 1A Produktion mit 10 von 10 Sternen. Der Rausschmeißer „Insan Senfonisi“ erinnert mich von der Umsetzung her sogar fast etwas an DEAD CAN DANCE, ein wunderbar opulentes, düsteres Stück Musik in Vollendung. Großer Tip für alle Post Punk/Dark Wave/ Gothic Rock Fans und besucht auch vor allem die fulminanten Konzerte des Duos.

Die Alternative Rock-Band THE PRETTY RECKLESS kündigen die neue EP „Taylor Momsen’s Pretty Reckless Christmas“ an. Release-Termin ist der 31. Oktober 2025 (digital) bzw. der 14. November 2025 (physisch) über Fearless Records. Als erste Vorab-Single gibt es den Song „Where Are You Christmas?“ zu hören, den Sängerin Taylor Momsen bereits im Jahr 2000 als Cindy Lou Who im Filmklassiker „Der Grinch“ sang.

„Wenn ich mich 25 Jahre später wieder mit „Where Are You Christmas“ beschäftige, fühlt es sich an, als würde ich zu einem Teil von mir selbst zurückkehren, den ich lange nicht gesehen habe. Als ich das Lied zum ersten Mal sang, war ich noch ein Kind, und ich hätte mir nie vorstellen können, dass das Lied und der Film die Menschen so lange begleiten und unbewusst meinen beruflichen Werdegang als Erwachsener prägen würden. Wenn ich es jetzt aufnehme, mit all den Lebenserfahrungen, die ich seitdem gemacht habe, höre ich es mit anderen Ohren … aber im Kern ist es dasselbe. Es geht um Staunen, Hoffnung und das Festhalten an der Magie – etwas, das wir meiner Meinung nach alle mehr denn je brauchen“, sagt die Sängerin.

THE MON – das Solo-Projekt von Urlo (UFOMAMMUT) – hat mit dem Video-Clip zu „Mayhem“ eine zweite Single des kommenden und zweiteiligen Albums „Embrace The Abandon“ veröffentlicht.

„Der Text erzählt von dem, was um uns herum geschieht: Der Himmel verwandelt sich immer mehr in eine Hölle, diejenigen, die uns führen sollten, sind von Macht geblendet und halten die Blitze in den Händen, die uns in die Zerstörung führen werden, ohne zu erkennen, dass dies auch ihr Schicksal sein wird. Das Chaos, das uns umgibt, ist ein Licht, das explodiert, ein Stern, der in den Händen derer leuchtet, die nichts anderes sehen können als den Strudel des Chaos selbst. Heute können wir mehr denn je nicht schweigen: Wir müssen gegen das Böse, das uns verschlingt, gegen die Gleichgültigkeit, die uns in den Abgrund zieht, aufschreien. Das Doppelalbum ist in zwei sich ergänzende Kapitel gegliedert – „Songs Of Abandon“, welches am 7. November 2025 via On Supernatural Cat Records erscheint, und „Songs Of Embrace“, das im Frühling 2026 zu erwarten sein wird, – und beschreibt eine Reise der Dualität: Verlust und Hingabe auf der einen Seite, Akzeptanz und Wiedergeburt auf der anderen. Vorab gibt es auch den Track „Your Eyes“ zu hören.

2019 gegründet, erreichten WINGS OF STEEL spätestens mit ihrem 2023er Debütalbum “Gates Of Twilight” eine gewisse Aufmerksamkeit in der traditionellen Metalszene. 2024 tourte die Band um das Duo aus Sänger Leo Unnermark und Gitarrist Parker Halub dann in Europa und spielte auf einigen Festivals. Unter anderem auf dem ROCK HARD FESTIVAL, wo der Verfasser dieser Zeilen sich von den Live-Qualitäten der Truppe überzeugen konnte. Den Auftritt in Lille veröffentlichte man unter dem Titel “Live On France” auf CD. Bis dahin hat die Band alle Veröffentlichungen in Eigenregie durchgezogen. Für das zweite Album “Winds Of Time” ist man nun bei High Roller Records untergekommen.

Ein begnadetes Duo plus hired guns – Leo Unnermark und Parker Halub sind das kreative Zentrum von WINGS OF STEEL
Im Trad Metal-Underground war und ist die Begeisterung für die Truppe recht groß, und auch mir gefällt der klassische US Power Metal der Band ziemlich gut. Ähnlich wie bei WITHERFALL bilden ein Gitarrenheld und ein Goldkehlchen den Kern der Band, alle weiteren Musiker sind wohl eher hired guns. Die beiden sind wirklich beide absolute Könner, alleine das musikalische Talent der beiden hebt die Musik von WINGS OF STEEL auf ein hohes Niveau. Wenn das Team dann noch großartige Songs wie “Liar In Love” oder “Fall In Line” vom Debüt schreiben, dann sind US Metal Fans im siebten Himmel. Ab und an fühlt man sich gar an eine weniger verspielte Version von QUEENSRYCHE erinnert, dann gibt es wiederum einfach nur hochklassigen, treibenden US Power Metal. So oder so ist der Sound der Band klar in den Achtzigern hängen geblieben.

Als erste Single gleich ein elf Minuten langes Epos – WINGS OF STEEL schielen eindeutig nicht auf Streaming-Zahlen
Das neue Album eröffnen WINGS OF STEEL mal eben mit dem fast elf Minuten langen Titelsong, der auch als erste Single veröffentlicht wurde. In Zeiten von auf Streamingzahlen ausgerichteten Songs ein deutliches Statement. Der Song hat wirklich alles, was man von einem Power Metal-Epos erwarten kann – rasanter Beginn, hoher Gesang, ein epischer Refrain, dann heavy Stakkato Riffs und einen langen Instrumentalteil, in dem Parker Halub sich austoben darf. “Saints & Sinners” zählt direkt im Anschluss nicht mal drei Minuten, ein schneller Power Metal-Kracher mit jeder Menge Solo-Gegniedel vom Feinsten. Trotzdem nur der zweitbeste Song dieses Namens in diesem Jahr – Platz eins geht an PAGAN ALTAR.

Aber wenn man einen auf Achtziger Schlüpferstürmer macht und gerne mal oben ohne posiert, muss man natürlich auch mindestens eine Ballade am Start haben. Vorhang auf für “Crying”, bei dem man die Feuerzeuge… ähm, Verzeihung, die Smartphone-Displays im Publikum schon vor dem inneren Auge leuchten sieht. In den Achtzigern wäre das sicher ein Hit geworden. “Burning Sands” punktet erneut als brachialer Banger in den Strophen mit epischem Refrain. Auch “To Die In Holy War” läuft wie eine gut geölte Riff-Maschine und sorgt weiterhin für gereckte Fäuste und zuckende Nackenmuskel, während Parker sich zum Ende hin die Finger blutig shreddet.

Wenn man gerade denkte, der Band geht die Luft aus, hauen WINGS OF STEEL so richtig einen raus
Doch wie schon auf dem Debütalbum schleicht sich neben vielen starken Stücken auch mal ein Füller unter die Songs. Hier vertreten von “Lights Go Out”, welches sich im Mid Tempo heavy aber relativ spannungsfrei fünf Minuten lang zieht. Klar, großartiger Gesang, starkes Gitarrenspiel, aber trotz allem schlafen mir da die Füße ein. Aber vielleicht gehört das ja auch zur Album-Dramaturgie, die Stimmung mal kurz etwas abzuflachen, bevor man so richtig einen raus haut. Und das tun WINGS OF STEEL in Folge in der Tat. “We Rise” bietet sechseinhalb Minuten absoluten Edel US Metal, ein großartiges Epos mit unfassbar geilem Gesang, der sofort Assoziationen zu QUEENSRYCHE heraufbeschwört. Dieser Refrain, ey! Viel besser kann man das echt nicht machen! Den Abschluss bildet die epische Halbballade “Flight Of Th Eagle”, bei der die Band über acht Minuten nochmal von sanften Tönen bis zu rasanten Gitarrenabfahrten alle Facetten ihres Sounds zeigt.

Erstklassige Musik, drittklassige Optik – beim Cover herrscht erneut Kitsch-Alarm
Lediglich ein eher mäßiger Song, dafür einige echte Highlights und ansonsten mindestens sehr gute US Power Metal-Kost. WINGS OF STEEL liefern mit “Winds Of Time” erneut ein starkes Album ab, welches mindestens so stark wie sein Vorgänger ist, wenn nicht sogar noch ein wenig besser. Auch beim Cover bleibt die Band konstant, hier allerdings konstant scheisse. Denn ganz ehrlich, dieser kitschige Einhorn vor mystischem Hintergrund aus der Mottenkiste-Kram sieht eher nach drittklasssigem Euro Power Metal der frühen 00er Jahre aus. Man kann nur hoffen, dass die Band damit niemanden davon abhält, sich mit ihrer Musik zu beschäftigen. Das wäre bei der hohen Qualität wirklich eine Schande. Wenn die beiden jetzt beim Songwriting eine Spur konsistenter werden, könnte das nächste Album ein echtes Highlight werden. Aber auch für sich ist “Winds Of Time” schon ein richtig geiles Stück US Metal.

Am 28. November 2025 wird Magnetic Eye Records mit „Best of Nine Inch Nails Redux“ ein neues Cover-Album zu Ehren von NINE INCH NAILS veröffentlichen. Die EBM / Darkwave-Band GHOSTBELLS hat mit „Wrath“ eine neue Single mitsamt Video-Clip veröffentlicht.

„Bei ‚Wrath‘ geht es darum, von der Vergangenheit – Angst, familiäre Probleme und Selbstzweifel – unterdrückt zu werden und sich zu weigern, sich davon begraben zu lassen“, sagt die Band.

Im Sommer 2025 hat die band einen Labeldeal bei Out Of Line Music unterschrieben. Damit einher ging auch der Release der Single „Darkness Saves“ mitsamt Video-Clip.

„‚Darkness Saves‘ ist ein Abstieg in die Arme eines Geistes – eines verführerischen Wesens, das dich mit jedem Atemzug, jedem Blick tiefer in seinen Bann zieht. Es geht darum, sich ihrer Präsenz hinzugeben, selbst wenn die Welt um dich herum verblasst, und in den Schatten, die sie wirft, eine seltsame Erlösung zu finden“, sagt die Band.

Die Black / Death Metal-Band THRON hat nach dem Video-Clip zum Opener „The Serpent’s Path“ mit „The Hunter And The Prey“ ein Lyric-Video ihres kommenden Albums „Vurias“ veröffentlicht. Es ist das fünfte Album der Band aus Deutschland und der Schweiz. Produziert wurde das Album von Christoph Brandes in den Iguana Studios, während das Cover-Artwork aus der Feder von Daniele Valeriani stammt. Release-Termin ist der 31. Oktober 2025 via Listenable Records.
